  6. Hi all, I feel its time for another catch up! I don't know about all of you but with this cold weather my car has been hibernating so what better excuse to take the cover off and make BP's profits go up for the day then a ClubSub meet! Instead of going just for coffee this time I thought we could grab a bite to eat also. When & Where?? 12th August at 2.00pm Gerry's charcoal chicken 4 Keys St, Upper Hutt, 5018 Gerry's has great food for those who haven't been and have a car park out the back for the cars and plenty of seating

  10. Both of use will be in a different class hoping there is more people keen, as for the current registrations I can see a legacy wagon is in don't think they are from the club though.
  11. Hi all, Is anyone here heading up to the 4&Rotory Jambo on the 24th / 25th March? They are having the Chrome expression session on the Saturday where you can jump on the track and have a fairly spirited drive with a car load of mates. Drifting and burnouts Then on the Sunday the Show n Shine, Drifting and Superlap series. I am driving up on the Saturday morning as have entered both days for some track time. its a fairly cheap event to get into and should be some fun. Is anyone else keen to cruise up in the morning or enter? Inked
  12. Already purchased mine, was just trying to be greedy ha ha. go hard bro
  13. Yeah I know what use mean I am to nervous of the insainly large curbs at autox though if I spin it'll be a rim, arms and possibly suspension ha ha. If I spin on the track hopefully I just end up in the grass. I'm not necessarily wanting to try slide it just as you mentioned know what's the limits for the car. But being new to track I doubt I will even reach those limits ha ha . I am getting super excited
  14. I'll Chuck in the go pro and get some footage ! I am wanting to run street tyres for this reason. If it does slide I would like to know how to handle it
  15. Yeah I dont think they are the best tyres however I feel this may be good for me to learn what the car does and how it reacts. This is what I figure my power band is more mid ranged with the VF30 dropping off under top end anyway so I will just not bother revving it right out. thanks heaps for all of the reply's once again, really hope some of you are attending will be good to have some more subies on the track!
  16. I can look at the exact model when home I know the brand is Nexen. service wise the car has only just done 3,000kms on the rebuild and has had a few services with run in oil now onto the Motul H-tech 100 plus. the car is getting a fresh service this weekend. oh thats you! I commented on your post in the 4 & rotor page I have the silver bugeye! haha
  17. Thanks to all off you for the replies, this is something that is making me nervous ha ha. I have spoken with Chris who tuned my car and he said extra oil wont hurt it but unsure if it would still stop it from having issues if I went through higgens to fast. I think the fact I will be on street tyres and this is my first time hitting a track properly will drop my chances of being to fast that I run into this issue (fingers crossed) I have got some extra oil so will top it up and see how we go, by the sounds of it and as @pedro mentioned I will try to run nice lines as well as more rolling through those corners rather than trying to power through them. If my engine runs a bearing its going in the shed until I can stand the sight of it ha ha ha
  18. Awesome I'll make sure to just roll the corner. It's my first track day so doubt I will go to fast anyway haha
  19. Cheers for the reply! I haven't raced on this track before, is Higgins corner the one coming onto the straight?
  20. Hi all, I have entered into the Super lap race at Manfeild in March and I am just getting a few things ready on the car. I am a little bit worried about all the talk going around how that track is a "subie killer" A couple of people have told me that if I am not running a baffled sump to put some extra oil in the engine before going on the track to stop the starvation, has anyone had any experience with this or can help? TIA
  21. I sat in them at the shop the other day and they are really nice! everyone is on the Bride buzz but I would rather support a NZ company. I am a bit worried about mounting them though. hoping I can get away with mounting them on stock rails
