  1. Good choice. Wish it wasn't such a prick to get 9.5's on Legacy's, look way better with the deeper concave.
Should get the centre caps too, look way classier with them.
Just excuse my beat up nuts and dirty wheels.
PS while matte black looks awesome they're a pain to keep clean, or i'm just a lazy wheel washer, probably a bit of both really.

  2. Finally got around to taking off my front lip. Gonna try get it plastic welded otherwise looks like I'm gonna have to plunge for a new one. Probably won't be an OEM one this time though. Wish I could insurance claim on it but being 18 a claim is around $1,500 and a new front lip is around $1,300. Can get one from the US for $100 but I'd hate to think the cost of shipping a front lip to here!!! 1f26a8ab1bcd43bb26c24b552b43dbea.jpg

I don't mean to be a cock but can't help it... Drifting in front of a cop is not what I'd call driving fairly responsibly

Number of tickets incurred does not translate to skill level

Road was dead empty and he had his lights turned off way down the road but yeah I haven't done any since hahaha

I assure you it's not bullshit. Otherwise my parents wouldn't trust me with such a car.

  4. One of the benefits of being old....

I could've had a much slower, cheaper car but I feel that having my car from basically the get go that I've learnt to handle the power. Here's majority of my mates with 2k Corolla's, Courier's, Hondas heck even a Mondeo who've all crashed because they've lost control and I've had basically 280hp+ plus cars since being on my learners and I drive fairly responsibly. Only ever had one ticket and that was for drifting in front of a cop in my STi. Meanwhile mates always say "if I had this car I'd be doing 200kmh everywhere and would've lost my license heaps". Wish i could get that across to insurance

  5. The open source doesn't work with some of the newer subarus, JDM anyway.Just been and found that it won't work on my 2010 legacy will go the ECUtek way now

I had WRC Developments do ECUtek to my 2010 Legacy GT, 215kw 470nm end results.

They can say what ever they want in their warranty that's the whole terms and conditions they set out. If they say certain things are not covered then they wont be.
EG as per Subaru NZ website
    What Is Not Covered
Wear and tear caused by use of the vehicle for racing, rallying, speed trailing, hill climbing or similar activities or competitive events.

so don't expect it to be covered.
Anyways it is sweet to see someone modifying a new car as most wont, would be sweet to see how it goes on the track and just how much power it puts down in its current state on the dyno

    Only ever seen road use.

how long do you have remaining on warranty period and do you think it's still likely that you'll be able to use it given any of your other mods? i think after a point you may as well stop sitting on the fence and fully enjoy your car as it kinda seems like you've crossed the 'stock' line already anyway?

Got car brand new early September 2016, 3 years of warranty so over 2 years left.

if the car isn't running any different why get it ?
oh right, i forgot your raison detre - 'cos it looks cool
    how many jdm points ?

belated congrats on blowing up your cvt !

I got it cause the sssshhhhhppoooool sounds great. And yeah 2015 WRX 20,000km and the CVT started slipping like crazy. Sold it back to the dealership and then Subaru denied the dealership warranty claim.

Why people do this while under warranty and expect it to be covered is stupid. On the other hand if you got that much money then just do what ever you want to it who cares if it blows up just buy a new car

My mum's M5 and dad's 911 are covered under warranty on racetrack... The whole idea of a warranty is if it breaks they fix it. You fork out 65k for a new car it's only right for them to correct any issues you have with it. You can't tell me you're meant to nana a STi sports car which are "Track ready" according to Subaru.
