Our new legacy came from Japan with a dashtop mounted GPS unit and another random bracket stuck to the dashboard. Someone has attempted to remove the random bracket and it has started to peel the black dashtop lining. The GPS unit mount is still firmly stuck. So I have two questions. Firstly how can I remove the GPS mount without damaging/pulling the dash lining off. Secondly, how can I fix the damage to the dash from the other bracket? Is there any special glue for this?

Has the 2.5 motor being nz new, anyone know if they\'re better or worse than the 2.0 that the JDM came with?

Delete that comment and do a search before you start WW2.5.
More just making a statement, in case he didn\'t realize there is a different engine between the two variants, he is a mate of mine

Had it repaired by Royce Clive Engineering - quick turnaround and good price

I remember a car like this on trademe a year back with those wheels and it was a v7 prodrive. Either way, i live in Leeston at the moment and haven\'t seen it, I doubt they\'re a local.

Thanks to Thorpy for the lend of two wheels - Lifesaver

yeah thorpe is the business . cheap considering too.
if that was my rim id just bash it back out . is it cracked ?
No cracks, just the nasty ding. I have emailed the companies mentioned in this thread. What would you expect to pay for this kind of repair? And what is the turnaround time?

Funnily enough, the south island also has companies who can fix wheels :
I\'ve been sent by a tyre shop to these guys before for similar damage.
www.roycecliveengineering.co.nz
They did a mint job.
I\'ve also used Thorpe Engineering to straighten, weld and balance a set of rims (as they are located right next door to my office) and they also did a mint job.
And another place I can think of off the top of my head is Elite on Annex road who are well known as a wheel repair company in ChCh.
I\'m sure the North Island also has more than one wheel repair company too but its soo much easier to deal with local\'s....
Yeah I\'ve hear good things about Royce Clive and elite. I have emailed pics to both of them so hopefully get a response tomorrow. Where are Thorpe engineering located?

He\'s in Palmy, I\'m in chch. But I\'m glad you think it can be repaired!

I hit a rock on the road on the way home and damaged my rim, I urgently need a 17" wheel & tyre to use while I get the wheel repaired (if it can be) as I have a 40km commute to work and can\'t use the space saver for this sort of distance, Has anyone in CHCH got a spare 17" 5x100 they aren\'t using?
Please and thanks!!

Get the applied model code, easier to tell that way.

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the GC8 era workshop manuals? have been looking online but thought I\'d check here first

Looks like a good car - ugly bonnet scoop IMO
Bear in mind it\'s not technically a STi RA (no dccd, etc) it\'s a WRX RA and he has whacked an sti motor and 4 pots on it
Depends how \'legit\' you want it to be when it comes to being original

I guess the level if crazy would be proportional to the price paid
