I've been running my GTB on 95, 98 is available to me should I switch?sgt on 98 should easily average 13l/100km..could probably nana drive and do close to or better than 10L/100km too but would advsie against running any turbo car on 91, or even 95 if 98 is available.

Just did mine on my bh5. Had the same knock.
The 19mm are an ass to do, use a breaker bar with extension if you can. And Mark with vivid where the bolts were ligned up

So the shop suspects the top hat bearings are gone? Said sway bar link didn't have much play at all

I'll get the shop tomorrow to give it a real good look over

Although not as bad as at low speed. So it will need rebuild it replacement? It's covered by the dealer so just wondering what options will be

Yep that's what it does mate. Although it can be heard at high speed too
With the causes talked about seems like it's your shocks that's worn. I've experienced where you drive over on a bumpy more of uneven road it would knock even several times but only at slow speed never at moderate speed?
Rebuilt the suspension and fixed the problem for me.

Have it booked in Monday to be looked at.
Top strut bolts are tight.

I'll check that tomorrow, just check for play? It also looks like this.Check the sway bar link on the front left side. If the link looks like a black plastic dog bone the chances are it's worn especially if they are still original

99 GTB. Noise is from what I can tell from left. Im located in Blenheim so not much around here.
I mean the cheap nasty rubber that's the cheapest of cheap.
Suppose my only next step is to take into a shop, which is tricky because I live out of town.

So ever since I got my GTB it's had a knock in the left front, dealer agreed to remedy it. But it's taken a few weeks to get him to get around to it. Originally he booked me in at mag n turbo and they said sway bar mounts are worn. Didn't state bushes or links. Come to today I took it to him and he said oh it's just rear mount bush, and sent me to repco to buy them and me install, he should have sorted it but it gave me the excuse to hey nolathane instead of the shitty rubber ones.
So I got a full set and installed them. Love and behold the front knock is there.
Only on uneven, bumpy or rough roads can it be heard, doesn't clunk over bumps.
Any ideas what it could be and what to check? Possibly top hat gone?

Yep with you on that. Oem ftwI think it is each to their own when it comes to kits how ever I personally like standard bumpers with canards and a lip for example and diffusers on rear etc.Sent from my K3 Note using Tapatalk

So it's not an etune 2. Is it better to have a non etune?
Sent from my K3 Note using Tapatalk -
Sorry to hijack but I have the opposite issue. Sometimes only one will work then both will start working??

Can a stock 99 GTB be tuned? Or is it heat to just leave as is?
Sent from my K3 Note using Tapatalk -
Hey guys just picked up an etune ii gtb. What is the difference here? And what does the etune mean? I've searched but not come up with solid information.
Here's my vin if that helps?
