    • Get ISO harnesses from TM/Repco/Supercheap etc - Subaru to ISO and ISO to whatever stereo you have
    • Unplug your factory stereo - separate plug, HAVC is on a completely separate plug so won't be affected
    • Connect your new stereo using harnesses
    • Connect aerial (might need an adapter - available on TM etc)
You obviously won't be able to use your factory stereo anymore.
Damn I was hoping I could just splice the wires. When I disconnected the stereo harness the air con screen didn't display though?
  1. So I have an 03 bp with the factory stereo and HVA ea single din cubby which fits a single din in nicely. I've taken the factory one out and tried to figure out the wiring. I thought I would just be able to splice into the factory harness and run the headunit off of that, but it turns out that doesn't seem possible when I do try splice into it I just get terrible crackly sound and its very low volume. Anyone got an idea?

  2. Sweet so just plug up the hole when removed then?

Any links to doing the cat? I've never done one before

Similar, but doesn’t bend around into the guard like 3rd gens. Pretty sure the easiest way to get it off is from underneath with the undertray removed.

It's the white piece in the pic. Clips up onto the tube/hole on the bottom left of the other piece

  3. Oh so similiar to the bh that has the resonator box in the guard?

Ahh yeah forgot about the swaybars. Underneath the filter box there's a resonator box that can be removed. Gives you more intake noise and apparently mildly better spool.
Decats reasonably easy. I just used hole saws on my drill to drill out the majority and break up the structure a bit then used a long pipe to smash the remainder out.
  4. Have front and rear sway bars done.
What is the intake milk bottle delete?

I'll look into a decat, can I do it myself.

    Rear swaybar for handling.
Intake milk bottle delete, 3-port solenoid, downpipe/decat and a tune. Not exactly ’cheap’ but that's probably the way to get the best bang for your buck without wasting heaps of money or your spare time.
  5. I haven't even checked the front lol. I shall do that tomorrow Ive been super busy and only had a chance yesterday to even clean it

    Agree with Boon
It’s a crazy thick bar. Is there something equally thick on the front to match? A Cusco or Whiteline one in their hardest setting at 21/20mm is more than enough at unless you wanna be hella stance-y with some 15k spring rate coilovers.

  6. So just picked up an 03 bp5 annoyingly though the seat is stuck in backwards position, forward does not work at all.

The tilt and all other adjustments work completely fine though.

And since I'm 5'8 I'm pretty far away from the pedals lol! Guy was over 6' id really like to get it sorted.

Does anyone have any ideas one what to do?
