Hi there, I am looking to import a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (Non S204/Spec C/RA-R etc) from Japan as a 'Special Interest Vehicle'. After 10 years, I am finally in the position to be able to get one. The reason why I have chosen to import is that they are basically non-existence and they never pop but for sale. I have done my research extensively and of the 3 criterias for importing one, I am able to fulfill 2 of them. The one im struggling to find is that they were produced in volumes of less than 20,000 annually. Just based on the fact that I see more blobeyes and bugeyes comapred to hawkeyes leave me to believe they did produce less than 20,000 of them. Would anyone know where I could find the production numbers or if someone has imported one in the past, to point me in the right direction? A friend of mine have imported one back in 2017 so i know it is possible. Plus, there have been a few in the NZTA list in the past few years. Thanks Heaps
