Hi guys, I am looking at purchasing a car and thought to ask for advice on how both cars compare before I arrange a test drive. Coming from a recently sold A3 with 7 speed auto dsg and a 2005 legacy 2.0 non turbo 4EAT, I was thinking of purchasing either 2008 Legacy Spec B 2L turbo/3.0 H6 or the WRX 2014+ both being auto. No plans to heavily modify either car other than some suspension parts and wheels. Price wise the WRX costs twice as much, tech is also way better.. but is the WRX a better driving experience ? steering wise being electric vs Hydraulic, ride quality wise and power delivery wise ?compared to say a nicely done Spec B with whiteline swaybars etc. The only issue I found was both A3 and 05 legacy had a slight lag when flooring it. The A3 had very slow pickup during initial 0-15 speeds but was just a matter of getting use to it. if I were to floor it, is that lag prevalent on the Spec B’s or CVT Wrx’s?
