I was searching around in my driver's side footwell looking for a 4 pin brake plug because some have it (mine didn't) and I came across this mystery 15 pin plug that has been a bit molested with those plastic splice things and lots of tape. I'm wondering what this plug is for and/or what was wired into it. This car was imported from Japan in 2018 and I only bought it a few months ago. It's a 2007 legacy GT, automatic

Turns out it's a plug related with the factory navigation called an "OP connector" it has ignition power, acc power, speed sensor and a bunch of other goodies lol. Useless unless you have or want factory navigation.

There are diagrams around... you just need to search for them.

It's very likely that Joker is correct though. Just a spare plug with some power going to it, so useful for some previous owners to hook into for whatever.

I'll have a look around for said diagrams and I'll update if I find anything. But thanks for the input guys

"Might" be a Factory option not installed eg cruise control?

ie all the Looms are the same : depends on the Buyers "Options list" for new cars

Is there any like diagram showing the different plugs etc for this car? Like a wiring diagram

    sweet, just checking : that's a start

eh wonder if its a Command thing in the BCM or a simple signal from the Lock button (too new for me sorry

I had a look in the BCM menu on the Subaru computer dad brang home but I could only turn on the window up and down when holding down lock or unlock (was turned off) but I might've missed it. And all good haha

Nah can't imagine there will be anything there. If it's possible it'll be a sequence that needs setting and not a physical switch to turn on anywhere. Might be worth asking in some of the FB legacy/Liberty groups as a lot of them know a heap of oddball stuff like this

Sweet I'll head there and come back if I find anything out

  7. I recently purchased a 2007 legacy gt imported from Japan a few years back, it's got push button start, factory HIDS and electric mirrors. But I can't figure out how to get the mirrors to fold on lock like my mothers 2004 JDM import LL bean 3.0 outback. The mirrors will fold in when you push the button in my legacy same with the LL bean but doesn't fold in on lock like the LL bean. LL bean is a key and legacy is keyless (not sure of correct terms)

    Anyone offer any wisdom?

I haven't come across anything for this style of twin scroll, the only one I know of that does exist is a Tomei one for the FA low mount turbo setups.

It's easier to just accept you’ll never get the iconic rumble without swapping over almost all parts of the turbo puzzle and learn to like the sound of these things opened up. They're not as bad as most traditional 4 cylinders atleast

Ok that's good to know so I don't drive myself crazy looking for some

You won't find anything to bolt right up.

It'll rumble if you open up the muffler a bit.

That's good to know I'll experiment with it

  9. I have a 2007 legacy GT, imported in 2018 and I'm trying to find a set of headers that will bolt straight onto my factory twin scroll turbo to provide me with that sweet subie rumble. I know all about the downsides of UEL vs EL but I want that subie rumble. I've seen people talking about the Zero sports UEL but this doesn't look like it'll bolt straight on.

Any help will be greatly appreciated
