Just bought a GFB Respons B.O.V and asked Pappu since he tuned my car whether it's ok to install it. He said it should be fine, no issues. What do you guy's on here reckon?. It won't mess up the re-flash in anyway would it?

Maybe the original pump was half knackered, the car was running lean and went faster
The purpose of the fuel pump is to provide pressure and flow to the fuel rail - that pressure is regulated by the fuel pressure regulator
You could run a dozen 1000hp pumps or a single factory one and IF the FPR was capable of keeping the pressure right, then you would see zero change from one to the next
There is no way that a change in fuel pump has magically changed how fast your turbo spools up or how much power the car makes, unless either a) the old one was just making things ever so lean, or b) the new one is so ridiculously tough it is overpowering the FPR and making you run pig rich
Given it has just had a flash tune which I am assuming involved a wideband to rule out the pig rich option, doesn't leave many more options
I kind of understand what your getting at.
May be the car is running rich.

hey guy's .. the main difference was when Minhaaj and me changed the stock pump to the aftermarket 250DW. I felt a loss in power for some reason and Minhaaj did too. I don't know if it's safe to change the pump back to stock without asking Amit first since the re-flash has been done with the new pump in.
What do you guy's reckon?.. My turbo was kicking in at 2.5krev's with the old pump and now it's somewhere between 3.5-4k revs.
Not entirely sure whether it is the pump, but the re-flash is all good.
Just didn't feel as much pull in the seat when the pump was changed.
Any input would be appreciated.
What do you guy's reckon? Change the pump back to the stock one?.. And let the ECU re-set itself then?...

Ok guy's got a re-flash done by "papuu" on here. He reckons i should be somewhere between the 210-220kw mark. Also have launch control now. Question i have is, the car was pulling alot harder before i put in the new DW200 fuel pump. And we put the negative terminal back onto the battery which would have re-set the ECU right?
Now, would me changing the fuel pump from the stock pump to the DW200 make any difference in boost?...
Please let me know, thanks

Ok Pappu just replied saying, hes dealt with solenoid's in the past and cannot justify the outlay for it.But he reckons for my mods the atomic tap would be ideal but if i did have a bigger turbo, injectors etc then he reckons i'd need an EBC
-
Yeah i ment the electronic one. If in a crazy rush, it'll do the job, and you can re-use the valve for stock ecu control whdn it comes time for tune.
I have a part number somewhere for a mac valve 3 port solenoid with subaru plug, will try dig it out
yeah but "Pappu" on here is getting me the GFB Atomic tap tomorrow before my tune as he's tuning the car for me.

Coax screen has to be intact right the way through, and if you can, keep the foil in contact too.
In regards to boost controllers, the gfb ones are fantastic, but you are better off just getting the 3 port solenoid and a retune...
Do you mean this one buddy?
Are they reliable? : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/turbos/auction-798514887.htm

OK just bought the DW200 and installed it, but seem's like i have lost a bit of power after putting the negative terminal back on the battery (ECU RESET), not quite sure if the previous owner had turned up the boost.. but the car doesn't even have a boost controller. Weird. Can't wait to get a re-flash.
How much is a good electronic boost controller?
Is this any good? : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/electronics/auction-800261212.htm

Hey guy's where's the best place to buy an aftermarket fuel pump from? For a reasonable price?..
Would this be good enough for a V7 STI? : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/fuel-systems/auction-797224874.htm
Let me know, as i need one for my Re-Flash.
Cheers .

At the moment all i have is a free flow exhaust from the manifold down.. alot of people say not to get a pod, for these cars .. especially the V7..So let's hope to book a re-flash within the next week or two
-
What do you guy's reckon i should do before i get a re-flash of the ECU?.. Pod filter? Fuel Pump? Injectors? bigger intercooler etc or?

-
Thanks guy's "Raijin performance" it is then, and his price's are pretty reasonable too , cheers.
-
Hey guy's any one on here know how to do a re-flash for a Sti V7?. Car is completely stock, except for the exhaust running straight from the manifold down.
My mate said E&H but their price is $1000.
I know it used to be cheaper somewhere, but i can't remember where.
Let me know guy's,
Cheers.

My v7 wagon knocked like f**k on 98 with a bit of heat soak.
Also had a hks ssqv on the 7, didnt have issues with it stalling / stumbling idle because of the design of them. Gfb are good, but imho a bov is no good unless you go for a speed density tune, because that calculates manifold pressure instead of measuring airflow. But they a bastard to set up.
If running dov, you also loose response
so you reckon, don't get a BOV?..
