I have an Idea as well

    it pretty far though

and maybe not suitable for all vehicles

    but

    a loop

    wanganui,new plymouth,forgotten highway,taumaranui,raetihi,para's (or river road) wanganui(Whanganui) :)

Oh god now theres my happy place.

I grew up on the river road, if you want a nice tight twisty road to ge the blood pumping thats a great one.

Paras are a bloody nice drive too, I quite often get the urge for a light boost and just fill up and drive through for shits and giggles.

I dont think I have done the forgotten highway though. Im not to well traveled under my own power really so i dont know a lot of routes that can be taken.

what are ou tryn to say????? :(

Someone did the number crunching on the old forum but if i remmeber right a stock (or near stock) STI isnt mathimaticaly capable of doing 255.

I may be wrong but im pretty sure I saw a thread to that affect.

All that aside I would be damn impressed to see it, I have seen some closed road runs of a couple of stock WRXs STIs a couple of years back and they were topping out at mid to low 240s, not even counting how innacurate the speedo is at that speed.

  3. As said above put the money spent implementing this waste of time law into practice on drink driving blitzes or something usefull.

Dont get me wrong the whole "Boyracer" scene is an embarrasment to us all but the tag is grossly innaccurate and the measures being taken to stamp it out are more extreme than actions being taken to stop recognised gangs in NZ.

All there doing is pushing more moderate owners in the community to consider breaking the law because the god damn hoops keep getting harder to jump through.

Makes me want to go stick a great big atmo venting BOV on the work Rav for shits and giggles.

  4. Audi RS6

    22B STI/Genuine Prodrive Rally car GC8 model.

    Porsche 911 GT3

Holden SS "Maloo" Ute 2008 model (go figure)

Mercedes SLK I think it is, there a little four door sports Merc with a 6.3 Litre V8, the boss just got one and its a god damn beast.

    Aston Martin DB9

    V8 WRX STI

Or lastly an R33 GTR Skyline.

The Skyline, V8 STI or Maloo Ute will probably be my next car.

  5. A few from when I first got my Rex...

And a few after having a few dings taken out and some slight body mods...

    SDC10851.jpg

When I got that done I had all the dings removed and she was pretty much straight as a dye, for about two weeks until some clod opened a door into her. Not to mention a few battle scars from some play time on a mates farm roads now.

Ah well, no point wrapping a WRX in cotton wool, there made to be driven.

  6. Car: 1998 WRX Sedan

Mods: Cheap arse lowering springs, BOV, exhaust, downpipe, fully forged engine build, V8 STI scoop, V6 STI spoiler.

Things u like: I love the presence of a WRX in general, everything about them from the aggresive styling to the noise is so all enveloping.

What you dislike: Stupid ****ing questions "How many pounds you boosting G." Stock answer, none bro non turbo.

Why you brought it:Always wanted a Rex, brought a 93 which I wrote off and this was the replacement. It was tidy, low Ks and cheap.

What your future plans are: In order: New Extractors and exhaust set up so its a bit quieter, Bigger injectors, Link G4, Flipped manifold and a FMIC with some nice short piping like Tony (ronin) has and hopefully a twisted turbo setup sometime next year to go along with it all. Need to talk to my favourtie mechanic about that one.
