  1. Pull the cap off and see if you have bubbles in the water. And if your losing water through the overflow then that can be a sign of a blown head gasket. Compression getting into the water galleries and pushing the water out. I've had this happen before.
  2. I travel those roads very often when I go jet ski'n at Port Waikato and Tuakau......I would be mighty fucked off to find another car tearing it up towards me......the locals would prob fire a warning shot off at ya anyway.
  3. Changed the drivers side rocker cover gasket today. Easier than I thought. Took longer to drive to Winger in East Tamaki for the parts than actually do the work. The kit is $135 incl GST by the way.
  4. That WOF guy is a knob. On my WRX there's two big holes like that in that exact location from the factory!

When I replaced mine, I tried a long extension but it wouldn't go on straight. It was kind of on an angle, and I didn't want to round it. This was my first time replacing it so you guys prob got more experience than me

    Knock Sensor

I replaced the one on my V3 STI and I removed the intake manifold. Prob don't have to but I couldn't figure a way of changing it without damaging something.
  7. I am a member of MMC as I have had a few mitsi's before my Subaru. What I can say is that they are alot more grown up and mature than alot of you on here. They do have their "spec c" type though, as with any car club or forum. I can't remember a time when anyone there has openly bagged on subarus. At the end of the day they are into cars and mitsubishis happen to be their flavour of car.
  8. I'm doing the conversion right now but on a V3. I'm using a differnet power steering reseviour to sort out the ICV hitting the standard one. As for the alternator, just remove the aircon and put the alternator in it's place. You will need to cut and grind some of the mount off tho. You will figure it out as you go. Then it's just re-plumbing everything up. Oh, and the ICV seems to just touch my bonnet when closing it so I'll give that part of the bonnet a quick massage.
  9. I haven't been around long enough to understand that ???
  10. I'll be sending my car to be panel'd and painted soon and I'm just trying to decide on how I want to go. The plan is to put a FMIC on and a standard non-turbo bonnet + delete the spoiler for a more sleek overall look.
  11. Well, that works out as my V3 STI has a V2 bonnet, lights and bumper. (the V3 STI stuff was stolen)
  12. So could I put a non-turbo Impreza bonnet on my car even if I still have a top mount intercooler?
  13. I'm having alot of trouble trying to track down a V3 STI bonnet (didn't think it would be this hard!) If I was to put a FMIC on my car, would a standard Impreza bonnet (non-turbo) fit without any issues?
