Can someone please point me to a list of the various Subaru model numbers, generations, years etc most relevant to JDM/NZ. For example I have a JDM Dec 2003 Outback BPE, but if I look on any USA sites it seems to be the same as the USA 06 Outback. Also I seen to get conflicting info regarding the generation, some site show it as 4th Gen and others 3rd. Are the Legacy/Outback models and generations the same? Might be a useful Sicky for nubes like me. Sorry if this has been covered, I tried searching for models, model numbers etc

The remote part of my spare key does not work so I opened it up to find it's one corroded mess and the push buttons inside have fallen appart. Do I need to buy a whole new kwy or can I replace just the electronic remote part? While on the topic of keys, is the special barrel/key matching in the key shaft? ie; magnetic or something? As the spare key still opens the door manually and can start the car.

I've got an 03 BPE Outback, there are two screens on mine of 'features' you can turn on and off, it's a little scary as I have no idea what some of them could possibly be from the Icon. Do you have the screen with the right hand Icon showing 3 time options? I think they are 30s, 60s and 90s or something like that, I can't work out what they do. Mine in the Kenwood with the DVD in the glovebox.
