Jedi.
Interesting that you would report one of Shale's posts and called it baiting; Yet one of your posts (#12) completely contradicts yourself.
Bit of a two faced tiny tool aren't we. You contribute 2/3's of the most inane bullshit I've read on the net for a awhile. I hope this results in a PM rant in which you unveil your poorly educated red neck roots.
Shale; I advise you to never discuss your Family on the net unless you are in safe company.

Why don't you include MSE or Steve's name in the title, then he might see this thread and confirm it himself.

If the mechanic couldn't install it correctly to begin with then why bother? really its not something you would bother a mechanic with.
Just do it yourself. You've been basically told how to do it on here.

My mechanic fitted a turbo xs bov to my legacy the other day but it doesnt make any sound. Looking how other people have installed theirs, it seems they use the pipe coming up somewhere near the turbo. On mine hes mounted it to the intake pipe and blocked the other one off. Is that right?? Cheers guys
Other way round. Plumb the bov into the post Turbo pipe; the one going to the Inter cooler tank. And block off the intake port which is 19mm.

Did you follow the instructions on the bottle or just tip it in?
If the lifter is crushed or failed then there will be no cure besides replacement.
You could run an engine flush prior to oil change.

Thanks BC5RA,
Restored is the right word, old school porn, not 2010 plastic porn. ;D
Everything is as original as I can afford to get it, original motor , not original gearbox, but is a RS-RA gear box, original gold Intercooler/& side covers, Every screw and bolt in interior as it should be, WRX seats taken out and original color/pattern matching RS seats put back in. This is as close to rolled off the factory floor as you will find these days.
Only major thing left not original is it has a TD04 turbo, but cant afford/bother changing it at the moment. Would like to lower it at some point but not high priority at the mo.
I'll keep an eye out for some lowering springs. There was a specific sump bash plate on TM as well, if I see it pop up i'll send you a link.
I can source you a VF8 for next to nothing in suitable condition, If you would like.

Good on you both for trying.

I understand that.
Is all of it completely sheared off?

If you've done what I think you've done, then you will have to wreck the remaining plastic bolt.

Front will fit, rear won't.

Actually, I'd get rid of those monsoon shields. And if I could find some x 8" Speedlines..
-
Me neither.

Joe, deal with the problem when shows up; if there's a problem at all.
Install them and get a tune. If there is an ignition problem then sort it. I'd be very surprised if there was.
