  1. Hey quick question. Whats the difference between the v7 sti hatch and sedan? From what i can find, only the sedan has brembos and its slightly more powerful? Which would you guys suggest? Thanks in advance
  2. Sweet thanks for clarifying the offset. How wide can you go tho? 17x8.5 alright or is that too wide? Thanks
  3. Hi there does anyone know what width and offset 17" wheels will fit a 2001 legacy b4 sedan? Also, I assume the stud pattern is 5x114.3? Cheers
  4. Lol yep, how did you know? We knew about the oil leak from trans sump and rear wiper...the other's we only found out when our Subaru specialist checked the car...
  5. Front 2 are leaking, and 1 rear is cracked We went on a trip to Auckland to buy the car and got a pre-purchase done by Subaru and only a few minor faults were mentioned. Now that we're back in Welly, our Subaru specialist discovers these... http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/5287/subaruj.jpg
  6. Nothings wrong with 2nd hand if they're all good. It's just that we're not mechanically minded so best to play it safe and purchase new rather than possibly faulty 2nd hand ones?...how about these, will they fit? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Subaru/Suspension/auction-298487948.htm
  7. Sweet, just asked him and yea he said they were yellow...
  8. Umm not too sure. It's my mates car. How can we check that? It's a twin turbo B4 if it helps...
  9. Hi there, does anyone know where i can purchase aftermarket shocks for a 2001 Legacy B4? Genuine ones costs $1500 each...which is too steep Let me know if you can help. Cheers
  10. Oh ok, thanks for the replies guys. I'll let my mate know and try and convince him to get a B4 Um, would a engine rebuld actually cost 6k though? Since a whole car costs basically 6k...
  11. Hi there, my mate's having second thoughts on purchasing a turbo car due to 'maintenance costs' involved with turbos. 1999-2000 twin turbo Legacy B4 sedan. What costs would there be associated with the car? I was told that a faulty/broken turbo on that car would cost 6k to replace? Is this true? Thanks in advance
  12. Hmm ok, well he said he'd consider both...so open to options. What do they mean in this auction? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/Legacy/auction-295517945.htm Is that true? Is a rebuilt transmission a good or bad sign?
  13. Oh wow, are they just slightly more powerful or is there a huge performance difference? It's for my friend, and he's adamant on tiptronic, since he want's a 'cruising' car and not a racing one. Also, from what i can find on trademe, those prices seem to be in about the correct range?
  14. Hi there, just searching for a B4 for my mate, and was wondering if you guys could help decide which b4 to purchase. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=294255991 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=294365959 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=294590825 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=295336276 Currently, i'm thinking of suggesting one of the top 2 listings? Or if you guys can suggest any others, that'd be of great help. Must be B4 turbo, tiptronic, lowish k's and had cambelt done. Thanks in advance
