@mikenfee I get this issue too at times, ~12psi normally then at any point during my drive (every few days-ish) it\'ll drop to 5. I always use Z 95 fuel Most of the time if I cycle through the gears at half throttle, at some point during that it\'ll boost like normal again.

cheers g-unit I replaced that tank with the one I found at pick-a-part and topped up the coolant with ~800ml demineralised water, after taking it for a spirited drive I pulled over and checked the tank, no new spillage. Now I need to remove the crap that has already spilt Thanks for the help

Thanks for that lachlan, ill keep a look out for one made of better quality. I ran off to pickapart and found a replacement. Hopefully thatll sort it out

well i do have a spare set of brake pads somewhere in the boot so i'll try that today. but the wheel balancing thing, could it only affect one wheel and only turning one way? if thats true then i'm unfortunately going to be telling my boss im having a day off on monday

Have tried new disc on the right turn wobble and changing wheels around but to no avail. Brake wobble start AFTER i took it to the mechanic and am highly not impressed lol but that was about a month ago. Also going down motorway 100+ kmph steering wheel wobbles only slightly and this is just getting really annoying (especially driving over rimutaka hill every weekend) If anyone has a solution to my problem could you please txt 0274599883 if not then post reply (not on forums much during week) TIA 96 legacy gtb bg5

right it was someone else's advice on the fuel pump being external. turns out it is an internal and didnt try the hammer technique (should've remembered lol) but went to 2nd hand place and got another for $120. probably wouldve been better to go to pick a part pretty sure they had one but maybe next time.

just had a check but the car will not run so I cannot do this test. also, just to clarify another detail. pulled off fuel line where it connects to injector rail and no gas is coming out when key on or when turning over

1996 legacy gt-b. bg5 Alrighty, was driving car as normal ladeda.. and then (scary music) this morning i tried to turn it on and it would just wind over and not fire. it has done this once before except one morning again I tried to start before work and it did same as above but after key off/on it worked. I cannot hear the fuel pump loadin up but have earlier today. earlier i thought it was immobiliser was causing this (wiring in there was freakin haywire) so took all alarm wires out and took back to factory wires. but after trying to start again, it still wouldnt work. Does this sound like a fuel pump problem? looked on partsworld and they are $175 in palmy north but dont wanna spend money if this isnt definately my problem. any help would be great lol. cheers.

1. Did oil/filter change and added ProMa MBL8 and tapping/other "shouldnt be there type" noise has gone. 2. Weird buzz still happens but im pretty sure its nothing to worry about, just a tad of a nuisance. 3. Goes and comes as it pleases. where abouts is this sensor located so i can get one from pick a part.?? 4. Still havent got this looked at and if anyone could advise me on what to do it would be great. 5. Have checked bulbs and were fine, since then have re-wired and they are working fine now. 6. Turned out to be warped disc (was me guessing at something and just went with it) bought new disc from supercheap and all is well now, yayyyy now i dont have to worry on the rimutaka hill lol. This has also fixed my brake wobble. In conclusion i still need to sort this alarm out and boot sensor. Cheers for advice so far guys.

Is says on directions that i should change oil and put it in with that but i've just recently done oil/filter about 100km ago and have just dropped 75ml in. will it still do the trick or do i really need to go to shop and spend another 50-60 bucks lol.

yes i will be looking at cambelt change, i recently moved to masterton but travel over to hutt valley on weekend. have put in oil additive pro-ma as directed hopefully that'll help it out a bit lol. and also i never put steering into full lock as i have heard all over the place it isnt smart, friend did it lots in his commodore and had to replace the whole rack. its when driving along and turning right at a slightly over moderate turn. has me baffled. could be warped disc or something? also recently took car to mech for brake pad replacement and now the freakin brakes shudder aswell -.- not impressed. they never did that before i took to the mech so what could they have done wrong and they did it about three weeks ago can i take it back and ask to have it fixed? (guessing that they caused this through something of their fault) thanks for help so far guys

Boot sensor will not go away when i close it, gets very annoying and cannot stand it anymore lol. also spotlights arent going, checked fuses, tried all light buttons and checked, spotlights dont look damaged. any info appreciated

And am wondering what are good things to check all over and what else could be done to ensure longevity of this car? If anyone could provide help with the following: 1. When cold starting car, partially loud banging (is it tappets/lifters?) untill it warms up then 99% of noise goes away. 2. When driving just as car is warm in morning when i leave for work (running temp) and I drive away when i change gear at around 3200rpm i can hear an odd buzzing noise going down with engine. 3. Boot Sensor Light wont go away and that cabin lights fuse blows randomly, has done three times over about a month. 4. AVS alarm controller doesnt set/disarm alarm, where would there be a dealer around masterton/hutt valley 5. Spotlights arent turning on, have checked every fuse and no prob there. lights look new and theyre plugged in. 6. Shudders when turning hard right (feels like it is left drivers wheel shaking) but not on left or straight head at any speed. I think thats all for now lol, If anyone could pass some handy advice I would greatly appreciate it. Cheers
