A friend of mine has a manual 2001 Legacy E Tune Wagon and its done around 160,000ks now. Pretty standard.. No Pod Filter , Just an Exhaust Tip. It has a wierd idling problem when its still or if you push the clutch in when moving slowly. The idling usually drops real low or the motor stalls completely. Sometimes the revs drop below 1000rpm then it goes back up to around 2000rpm and falls again.... Could this be anything else but maybe a dirty Air Flow Meter?? Just trying to find out before I go and source another AFM. Cheers in Advance!

How dont you have an Air flow meter man? Can you go without them somehow? That would be the answer to all these worrys if so!! let me know...

So do you think I cant use that pipe on TradeMe above? All I would do is pull out that AFM and put mine into that pipe and use that? Your thoughts?

Not when youve got it shelded from the engine and have a induction pipe feeding the cold air up to it from behind the front bumper

Yea i saw a previous thread on that ... But would rather a Pod to be honest... Only reason being that I have had a Legacy wagon before set up a certain way and I want to get this one to that stage. Cheers for the advice though!

Has anyone done this?? I am looking to do it this week to my new wagon but have noticed that the Air Flow Meter is part of the air box. Can I buy and use an airflow meter pipe like this from another legacy and put the existing airflow meter into it? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=283869519 Then I can put the Pod filter adaptor kit onto the end of that. Any thoughts or has anyone done this before?

Cheers man , I am looking for something just for the 'Subaru Rumble' rather than a boyracer loud thing. Ive had a Stainless Steel Cat Back exhaust before and it was awesome. Not too loud at all. Any more suggestions would be much appreciated! Anyone got any hook ups?? Will be paying cash for it.

Hi Guys, Anyone know where to get a good stainless cat back exhaust system for a legacy wagon? Someone used to sell them on trademe but I cant find them any more. Brought one a while back for another legacy I had but have now just brought a new one and need another exhaust! Any pointers would be good.. Looking for stainless throughout. Cheers in advance!

Got a quote to get my Cambelt and tensioners done on my 2000 V7 WRX STi and it was priced at $425 all up. Is this a good price for a cambelt on a WRX? As this is my first one Ive done on a Subaru. Let me know guys!

Hey guys, My 2000 Version 7 WRX STi has just clicked 100,000 and Im looking for someone who has done a cambelt on these to give me a hand one day to do mine. I havent done one on a Subaru yet so needing a helping hand from someone whos had some experience with them. Will pay gas and a few boxs of beer to give me a hand! Whats that?? Its like a whining or bell ringin sort of noise comin from under the intercooler.. sounds like its comin from inside the inlet manifold??
