was looking on trade me and some one said that i may need to change speedo drive what would be involved in doing this

I have a 1989 legacy and my cousin just ruined my gearbox so i need a new one just wondering if you can use maybe a wrx box or a bh model legacy

Does anyone looking for or know anyone who is looking to employ a motor mechanic in the auckland area.

does anyone know if you have to change the complete hub when you upgrade to 4 pat brakes

Just wondering if anyone in the auckland area could help me sort out a alloy cold air box also wondering if anyone knows where i can get a hose or alloy joiner so that the pod filter isnt so close to the engine

When im driving and go above 3000rpm and change gear my car will stay at 3000 until i use the bakes to drop the revs low enough for the car to start engine braking like it should. also happens when you push the clutch in at light and you have been doing over 3000 rpm. should i clean my throttle body or would it be something electrical

well i found out whats wrong with it just now. the cam cap bolts on 4th cylinder exhaust had snapped letting the cam cap float around. I have checked the cam lobes and there seems to be no damage but the cam cap is a different story. looks like its engine out and off to the engine shop so it can get the threads cleaned out :'(

problem is rebuilt it my self so only have me to blame for not checking

well what would be a remedy as it just dosent sound healthy

the block is a gt block with later model shim over bucket heads with gt manifold and is running a rs computer. i didnt replace any of the shims and only tested a few and they squirted out oil. is also running on 98

My engine has done about 650km since it has been re-built and has developed a loud ticking noise right hand side.im guessing its lifter noise. only thing is it dosent tick while it is idleing but as soon as you get above 1500+ rpm it gets loud just wondering if anyone has an idea of what i should do. Ive heard it may be a hard lifter that might have sludge in it but just wanting help (not what i wanted to happen just after its been re built)

trting to find the ecu codes through the engine check light but there is no light on the dash dosent even come on when you turn the car on i tried to put a new blub in at the back of the dash but no luck but have seen a flahing light down by my feet. The ecu codes might be flashing from the ecu apparentle this can happen
