I witnessed this recently, except it was a local bus company bus, hitting a parked car. I reported it to the bus driver who was blissfully unaware, and I also left a note on the person's car.

He rang me the next day and thanked me, and said he was getting his insurance company to follow it up with the bus company.

have seen many reports with people getting away with things like that, if there are no witnesses. I'm sure karma will catch up with me one day :)

I saw a bus destroy the front right side of an AMG ML63 that was parked on Salamanca Rd a few years back and continue driving on his merry way, got the reg number and reported it and ended up with a case of very nice wine for my trouble!

Ok will no way be a fuse as the inner lights and outer lights are on same fuse

How did u check the bulbs,Visual checks are not really good enough so either check using a multitester or with a battery and jump cables.

do u have power to the holders, use a test light and test this too :)

if no power start to work your way back till u find it.

yeah just a visual test, thanks for the advice will do as much as I can myself before asking for help this weekend out at Bazza's olds place.

  3. For your main bulb you will find a grey cover that unscrews one half turn anti clockwise, you then have a metal clip that unclips from outside in (outer edge of car towards middle of car) and bulb comes out. Repco have a two for one deal on their headlight bulbs at the moment and your car will take an H1 bulb.

And yeah the outer lights on your fog lights are turning lights, when you have either fog or main beams on and indicate a certain way you will notice them come on and provide some extra light in the direction to which you are turning!

Upper engine cleaner is easy if you want a hand PM me I have the day off work and happy to come show you and look over anything else you want to know as best I can.

  4. They don't make many high performance european cars with what we would call a manual gearbox these days. Their reasoning is that with an electronic controlled paddle shift or similar the gearchange is so damn quick that the power delivery is a lot smoother, personally I much prefer the feeling of changing gears with an actual stick but everyones different.

  5. hey Paul the primary on my Legacy kicks in at around 2500rpm but also depends on whether car is on load up hills etc...I would watch out for previous owners playing with hose 10 & 23 on primary causing it to have higher boost and wear out faster, knock sensors failing and having to be replaced (they are a bitch to get to and a relocation might be necessary), air getting into the cooling system when you refill (see technique on here for ridding all air pockets), dickhead drunk people who like to rip your monsoon shields off and smash windows in the middle of the night and Big End Bearing issues if your not regularly servicing the vehicle and using good oil...

  6. yeah mate relocating knock sensor worked a treat, no more CEL's. It still hates BP98 though it's so bizarre, I run it on Mobil 98 when I can (except only Mobil in Welly that has it is Kilbirnie otherwise it's out to J'ville) or otherwise Shell V-Power.

It doesn't actually go into limp mode with BP98 but effectively feels like it with massive loss of power and you can just hear primary turbo spooling up all day long.

Other issues are that it's leaking mini amounts of oil on to the extractors at the moment so whenever I go for a spirited drive it smokes a wee bit and I get some interesting looks at the lights haha.

When are you going to sell you N/A and buy a turbo!?!?!

  7. Your on to it, yes it has had an exhaust change.

It actually has a wrx exhaust from downpipe to muffler as midas had done a aftermarket install on one the week before I went in with my new car which had the rangiest home made and leaking exhaust you have ever seen, I got them to install that to save some $$.

I wish I had taken a photo of the old one after they removed it now it was so shit haha, crazy welds everywhere! So no big deal to not have that plugged in to anything?

  8. Hey guys, got a BG5 Legacy and was trying to take off the heat shield on the passenger side of my extractors under the car but can't take it off as there is some sort of plug/sensor going into the extractors there. Does anyone know what it is and how to remove it, does it just screw out?
