  1. Anyone got some spare rims with tyres i could borrow to get a wof? two of mine are worn but i'd rather spend the money to buy a new set with tyres then get new tyres for the ones i have cheers guys! 0277177304
  2. no but, you may be on to something. cause i brought the car through turners with no key. so in order to get the car on the trailer and transported down here i let the shipping company drill the steering lock mechanism on the old ignition barrel to be able to turn the wheels which may have done something hmmm? but i replaced the whole ignition set up so what would i check ?
  3. that was one of the first things i checked because thats got me many times before on old subys i've had haha. one thing i've noticed is that when i connect the battery and turn the interior center roof light on to come on when the doors are open it will flicker on and off in time with the beeps ?
  4. nah don't think its any of those good thoughts all the same! i reckon its something not plugged in, but i have no idea what would cause it to beep with the battery connect and no key in no matter whether the doors are opened or closed ???
  5. Hey guys my 03' wrx hatch i brought which i had to piece a few things together to get it going & roadworthy e.g Both left hand side doors & ignition barrel. but as soon as i connect the terminals to the battery there is a constant beeping coming from the dash. now it will keep going when i shut all the doors, key in ignition & even when the car is on and am driving its not the obvious like park light bulbs or anything. Can anyone pleeease offer some tips on what to try ?? haha

  7. Just to wakefield st in Alicetown. yeah its either pay a tow company to move it before friday or just incur the storage fees and leave it in the turners yard until he can pick it p the following friday

  9. ohk i wasn't aware of this, my mates wrx was still taken by him and crushed as police have investigated and found parts off it and receipts for the crushing, so he still did take it and a grand or 2 of his money that "shrug" claimed he was using to fix the car and get parts for .. case not closed for that is it?
  10. Hey guys, mate had his 1997 Blue wrx stolen by ex- clubsub member "shrug" who took parts off in and had it crushed while he was supposedly fixing it. now he has stolen another car which i have heard was silver but had been re-sprayed black ? anyone know whos this might be it had angel eyes, aftermarket tail lights, version 8 scoop, bodykit ect anyway police have found an impounded the vehicle hope this helps some one who had their car stolen
  11. ohk cheers, oh well any really its just i need one but have a few options and would prefer to pick the most cost effective one ha
  12. hey guys, need a front cut for my 2000 GTB legacy (Manual), just wondering if anyone knows if there are any differences structurally between that and say if i was to use a front cut from a 2001 250T legacy (Automagic) ? like if i did the swap and went to put everything from my twin turbo engine bay in, would everything line up and screw/fit ect in the right place? cheers
  13. Hope all goes well with it tomorrow mate! same think happened in my 00' GTB was and intake issue from having a pod filter on, which was sucking hot air and shaking round as it wasn't properly fixed in place. ended up putting in factory air box, new air flow meter and everything was sweeeeeet

  15. having a car hopefully moved from wellington to dunedin from a transport company at a really really reasonable price. the guy is a one man band and a great to deal with usually ships furniture and other large items across nz but will ship cars if required so he will have a spare spot for anyone wanting something up north. far cheeper than jeffs or toll and the car stays on the same truck for the whole trip PM, reply or text me on 0277177304 hopefully being done next week or the following cheers guys
  16. awesome man, thank you! what company does he work for do you know?
  17. just wondering if anyone has connections with panel beaters or is in fact one, as i am at a crossroad whether to fix up my car which has been damaged or scrap it and sell off what i can as it wont be economical enough to repair?? someone please help ha
  18. dam thought so was just hoping you were talking about some new method that didn't involve me buying a leakdown tester haha. cheapest one i can find is like $200 and no hire place in dunedin has one nor a garage to lend one. so next question is does anyone know a sure way of getting my hands on one or have one to lend? or do garages have a method of testing it with the engine out? if the leak down tester goes accordingly i will be replacing as many seals and gaskets as i can as well as cleaning it up ect before going back in using nothing other than genuine parts 8)
  19. awesome! will PM you once have sorted a few things man. hahaha tell me about it ay, getting top notch help from all the subaru enthusiasts/experts on clubsub as well as reading heated banter , Love it!. will do both though since the engines out and rocker cover is out il try 'Ichi Ban's' method and then leakage test as i probably wont know what i'm looking for ha. can get my hands on a air compressor from work and have a compression tester in the garage like this.. http://www.wbnoble.com/forsale/meters/RAC_compression_tester.JPG is that all i need ?
  20. yeah could be! how much? what else you got in the way off parts to suit my car?
  21. oh by the way its a 2000 twin turbo BH5 legacy if thats affects anything..
  22. oh no sorry mis lead you a bit there, i have taken the rocker cover off from the side of the cams that was damaged. no damage to anything else but belt, cams on that side and the plastic cambelt cover. i only took the rocker cover off to look inside but don't really know what to look for haha so engines out .. but don't i need a special 'leak down tester' to check compression ? one that has dual guages so it can be hooked up through an air compressor? cause i can't seem to find anyone with one to borrow or one for less than $200 which i don't really wanna spend and only use once
  23. would love to mate! ha unfortunately the car is de-reg planning to use it for parts. as for jeffs they are a little pricey but have inquired with The Car Distribution Group. thanks for the help !
  24. car has recently had impact to the front right cams, belt snapped on impact. have taken the engine out and removed damaged side rocker cover to have a look, just wondering if anyone knows what to look for or what to remove, move ect to find out if anythings buggered ?
