True that.
I've only ever had one thing plastic welded, headlight brackets, what a bird shit mess that was.
-
Yeah, tidiest and quickest way will be plastic weld it, then smooth/shape with bog
-
Took RX7 down to workshop to prep for paint job, removed wing, indicators, reflectors.
Also dropped one of my pods for stagea off for paint.
-
I had a GFB boost controller(beehive looking ones), made my turbo alot more quicker to spool up!
-
can depend.
as stated servicing schedule car vary-i had one with every 10kms-and also modifications tend to void it anyways.
Check fine print.
Depends, if you buy a vehicle from a yard already modified, it's covered.
My Forester came with pod filter, exhaust, bov. I heard stories about warranty companies not covering because of it, so I wasnt gona bother wit hwarranty, but got it just incase.. sure enough, blew 2nd gear (all the teeth gone, smooth) and they covered it. Also a new clutch not long after, and then a new turbo just before I sold it.
Buying a car from a yard is considered by most warranty companies as a standard vehicle... Much like buying a brand new car, aslong as you don't change what it came with, or use the modifcations to shorten the engines life. I.e running a shit load of boost etc.

Strict servicing schedule? They want you to service it every 15,000km by a workshop, which is not strict at all, infact its the opposite. You should be servicing your car every 5,000. They do 15,000 workshop services so you can do the 5,000km ones yourself in between.
It depends who your with really. I had a warranty with Autosure on my Forester, was quite handy.. $700, no excess and unlimited claim.
I claimed on a few things, such as a turbo rebuild, gearbox, diff and clutch.

Te Akau has some wicked roads. Especially right along the coastline.
-
Yeh.. My Cobra packed it up. After a month it lost calibration(no GPS), so I took it out of my car, year later I put it in the Stagea and it's got no screen.... Niiiiiice, fucked screen without even being turned on haha
-
Usually they just get a bit of rust on the connections, so re-soldering fixes.
Well for Foresters, Legnums, Skylines anyway...
-
I'm trying to work this out myself.
I've got a Tomtom 720.
Stagea w/ 18s @ 100 TomTom @ 88
Forester w/ 17s @ 100 TomTom @ 92
Primera w/Stock @ 100 Tom Tom @ 100
Golf GTi w/Stock @ 100 TomTom @ 102
So think tomtoms the correct one. I asked a cop, and he said only military units are correct and to watch my speedo but yeh.
-
Cause the majority of dealers dont know f*** all about their vehicles, so because its got a intercooler and its blue it must be a super rare 900hp model.
I went to 4 Guys to look for an STi before my Stagea and they tried selling me a plain WRX swearing it was STi. Sure wasn't.
That was more a rant in general, not about that car. Its nice.
-
Yeh, didnt see, was kinda to angry to look first lol

Mates WRX got stolen last night, from Newcastle Road, Hamilton
Reg FEL14
Stock mags, lowered on Tein coilovers, Kenwood heady, stock everything else.
So if offered any of those parts, or see the car around give me a call or txt
0278180931
Looks same as this, but alot lower
-
Yeah, my speedo says 120 and my GPS will be saying 109 so its a hard one
-
You don't NEED one.. It's more for the people that thrash the crap out of their cars and have a habbit of turning it off the instant they stop in there driveway.
Just drive the last few KMS to your destination nicely, then let it run for 30-60 seconds before turning it off.
-
Yeah, police is about 35 push ups, and 10km run in a certain time (easy, more of a jog)
You have to do a training course, which involves scaling walls, etc, but still seems easy.
I was going to join, but it's my education that is holding me up, and my criminal record, but lady said that shouldnt be a issue.
So i'll apply again in a year or 2.
-
Money is a issue haha. I'll only be able to use what I get from the RX7, so around the 20 mark, once I pay off some debt.
Is it the 9's they went to 5x114?
-
for the $, go the v7.. the 8 is smoother and more responsive due to twin scrol , 9 is same but better handler slightly
altho u lose the suby rumble on the 8/9
if the sound was important go the 7 easy..
I do like the subi sound, but my mates got a V2 RA with tuned headers, sounds pretty nice also.
I prefer the 8/9 headlights, but for the extra money it's not worth it to me
-
With NAC at the moment, but thinking of going to AMI.
I'm paying $1200 a year with NAC, and a $1500 excess... AMI will be $900 a year with $500 excess.
That's for my Stagea

Howsit, havn't posted here in a little while, but looking at getting back into the Subaru game.
I'm looking at a V7 STi at the moment, blue, tein adjustables, Defi gauges, etc. Quite a nice car.
But I just wana know how much better are teh V8s? Other than cosmetic. I know they have a different manifold, and VDC, but what else makes them better?
Bit of a noob with the newer WRXs
Cheers

Might go up to it, i'll be in my Stagea but I can meet up with you guys at autobarn

Just cause it passes a WOF it doesn't make it legal..
Not starting anything. It's just one WOF station/garage will be different to the next.
I know someone who got their lights taken to with a blade by the testing station, so they had to replace them.

Spray tint from model stores.
Your girlfriends stockings.
