  1. FFS. You are kidding. ARGH. no other method? I have an STI Lip that is tacked to my bumper that, to remove, is a mission. Unhappy face.
  2. true. still.. manual and hard to find...nice kit too..nomnom.
  3. sick. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/legacy/auction-505732719.htm Wheels need to go but daaaaaaaaaaayum...
  4. Hello helpful legacy know it alls.. I have a 2005 GTB. The front left headlight is somehow taking on water when it rains and I have a feeling it\'ll fail a WOF. Im trying to get the fu\'king thing out - i have all clips and bolts off it but it only moves about 7 mm - it sounds and feels like there\'s a bolt or clip in the wheel arch, behind the quarter panel. Ive removed as much as poss and am staring straight at the trans oil filter that hides behind the indicator.. anyone got any tips? ive googed the crap out of it and searched these forums...
  5. Er, belated reply! I found out the button below the steering wheel just to the left of it is a switch to light up the cup holders. not a cup warmer. anyone uhhhh got a soft copy in english ?
  6. Anyone know where to source a PDF User manual for a BP5 Leggy GTB Wagon ? I've traaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawled the search function on the forums - plenty on old leggy's and impreza's but nothing from 05 onwards. I've searched for torrents too - nada. Obviously my query comes directly as a result of purchasing an imported GTB ( love of my life next to the wife ) - there's a bunch of questions i have about certain things on/in the car that are probably in the manual... like the Cup warmer button - wtf ?
  7. thanks scooby... i was eyeing up the same sorta thing. cheers
  8. Bit of a boring post this one but does anyone recommend a decent brand of lock nuts that aint too common for an 05 leggy ? Cheers Matt
  9. Soz.. clubsub! Cheers monkey. Wiki lists the 4th gen leggys with comparible stats, although i've nothing to compare this info against : Models Type (code) Power, torque@rpm 2.0GT 2.0L H4 turbo (EJ20) 245 PS (180 kW; 242 hp)@6000, 320 N·m (240 lb·ft)@3200 3.0R 3,000 cc (3.0 L; 180 cu in) H6 (EZ30) 245 PS (180 kW; 242 hp)@6600, 297 N·m (219 lb·ft)@4200
  10. Ah, Found the codes in the forum... thanks clubsub (!) you rock. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,2050.0.html
  11. About a year ago I sold my asbolutely mint as NZ new 2001 GTB wagon ( House reno's ). Im now at the point where I can get back on the wagon as it were.. I've been shopping around for a while but now its crunch time - I'm cut up between getting a GTB 05 turbo leggy wagon or a rather decent 2004 3.0R version with rather low mileage.. both manual's. Anyone got any comments on comparisons ? I've driven both and like both. Im attracted to the 3.0R for a number of reasons but most of them boring and responsible.. ( cam chain etc ) Anyone got any decent info on spec's / power output ? Im also interested in deciphering the VIN plate 'model' types and subbie feature codes - anyone got a link handy ?? I've seen a few touted GTB's on the market that someone has merely placed a Bilstien badge on...
  12. oh and as far as failing a WOF goes - any moisture inside a lamp lens unit is deemed epic fail as the result of water inside distorts the plastic lens itself ( upon evaporation i would imagine ).
  13. yeah winger said to do that too but id rather find the cause faaaark knows where the water is getting in but it damn well is.... in regular amounts...
  14. Winger just denied me a WOF as there is moisture inside me wagon's rear boot lamp lens I drive a 2002 GTB Legacy Wagon... you know... that long ass peice of plastic that stretches from one side of the car right to the other and contains the reverse/break lamps... This is apparently a common problem - i kinda know it is because others I know have the same issue. What I wanna know is where does moisture ( read - alot of rain lately = alot of water in the "sealed" lens ) enter usually and is it easy enough to fix ? It had been suggested there's a crack somewhere but if thats not it - any common cause/fixes ? Get a new lens ? At 800 god dam dollars you have to be joking .. .
