  1. i use the same, have done in all my cars! i use fram filters tho....
  2. ok i've found this, i'm dumping it here so i don't loose it the arms on the foz are out of alighnment due to the foz sitting lower than standard (and soon to be lower) so raising the subframe height will put the alignment back towards stock (assuming stock was good???) I'm talking about universal from rack to steeringwheel.... i hope thats what the others are meaning too.....
  3. ok i'm looking at putting a wrx front subframe into my forester to try get the suspension alighnment a bit better (foz subframe has 25mm spacers on it), i've searched around as many sites as i can (here, ozfoz, gtrydaz etc) but can't find a definitive answer on whether i'm going to need to shorten the foz steering knuckle or replace with a wrx one.... so anyone know what issues i will run into by having the subframe 25mm higher?

    First Forester

round the $200 mark is what i paid and mark\nstag8 was bout the same IIRC, you want v7\gda\gdb sti struts and springs, older ones need the top hats swapped over.

  6. ok this is a thread about pads not rotors guys.... i'll drag it back on topic and say i love my bendix ultimates that i'm running in the front of my car. they havent faded on me at all at taupo or puke, they are dusty but they work (for me at least) in saying all this i'll be using different pads next time round just so i can try keep my wheels cleaner....
  7. freed up stock airbox with cold air intake and high flow filter, works good for me and cost less that $20! can't beat that for value for money
  8. your front mount has not much showing, won't be very effective IMHO. Brad had the same thing, about a 5cm strip of intercooler that actually worked!
  9. yup extra length of pipes to pressurise etc. some people don't notice the extra lag. forester bumpers can be hard to cut to get the most of the front mount....
  10. i think it was to do with the "bend" in the carbon ones, it was hitting the firewall.... not hard to modify to fit tho
  11. GC8 bars should fit, carbon looking ones didn't on my car (they seemed too long) other than that cusco etc have bars, you wanting front or rear? or both
  12. yup i did the v7 onto a foz mission, on my car the IAC valve hit the bov mount on the v7 intercooler, had to get a bit of modification done to the intercooler to fit it, could have removed the IAC valve and got a link but didn't have the coin at the time, apart from that i also had to extend the inlet y pipe underneath the intercooler cause the turbo didn't quite line up. for me it is only a "bling" mod for now as i'm not running anymore boost than standard so havent got any real gains from it, i have got a Ver8 style scoop and air splitter so the intercooler is actually getting air to all of it. post up a pic of your engine bay and i will be able to say if your IAC valve is in the way, some cars have them in different places, also most strut braces will hit the intercooler, i had to custom make one to fit (i tried 3 different ones) I'd recomend the resonatoer deletion, decent panel filter and "marley" cold air intake for bang for buck over a pod, most pods end up sucking hot air from the engine bay!

    Seat Swap

I love my v5ish seats, they hold me real well, 100x better than standard foz seats and better than V8 seats IMO, you are roughly the same buld as me (from what i remember) so they should be fine for you.

    Seat Swap

GDA\B will be the code.... not sure on fitment tho, i find the later model seats better suited to the larger person......

    vf28

will turbo not add performance untill your running the small turbo out of its efficiancy ie td04 vs vf28 @ 11psi same power just different spool time?
  16. mine are hidden by the steering coloum, hard to get a pic of them, search and ye shall find (i have a foz, should be similar to your car)

    Seat Swap

gc8 sti shape will bolt straight in along with the gc8 seatbelt stalks that are attached to them, the forester stalks won't swap over, but belts fit into the gc8 stalk. i've done that in my forester, it's an awesome swap, sits you lower in the car and holds you great (as long as your skinny enough to fit in the seats)

    Seat removal?

rear seats + rear floor of the wagon part + rear door cards + spare wheel (spacey) = 30+kg in a forester.....

    Seat removal?

i had a quick look at the ltsa site for wof's, all it says is you need a drivers seat?!? but i have heard you need to be certed to remove seats, tacking a bolt into the seatbelt hole is adaquite AFAIK read http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/certifiers/virm-in-service/index.html
  21. what do you want to do to it? engine mods? body kit? suspension? theres lots you can do try looking at ozfoz.com.au for some good info on foresters
