We\'ve got large power outages here in Wellington and a lot of strong southerlies and chilly rain. Got no power at home, but have got the fire going in the living room and candles in the kitchen and all our tablets are tethered to my work phone - for work purposes only. (Other purposes are available.)

Have awarded you with a positive Karma. By the sounds of it, you need it right now!
yes it\'s baffled but as Sam says 10 years of thrashing has caught up with it. Has had a hard life. It\'s only a little rattle :-)[quote name='Al_baru said:

Congrats and oh noes !
Haven\'t you got a baffled sump ?
???
A decade of thrashing is bound to catch up with it, baffled sump or no. Still sucks.
Did ya get those head lights I sent you?

I used it and it worked. The freight cost US->NZ was about $25 for a small item (camera+battery). Not sure if this is expensive or not, but seemed okay. Saved me >$200 on the cost of the unit.

I added it up once, a loooong time ago and it was a lot. So I thought - don\'t do that again.

I understand that a lot of people don\'t become paid members because there\'s no advantage to do so - nothing in it for them. Have no problem with that at all...
The reason I\'m a paid member is to support the club - web-hosting, domain name, club-owned things like helmets and overalls that people can\'t afford or don\'t want to buy just yet, printers, paper, stamps, etc. This club is a great bunch of people and a forum with an awesome friendly helpful atmosphere and that\'s what my annual membership fee helps supports.
I like local organised activities, it\'s just that for me there are many clashes for my time with other activities I like Megameets (don\'t need to be every year). They\'re like the larger version of local activities and they are so much fun getting together from all over taking part, driving cars and talking with people.
As to MSNZ affiliation, well, there is a car club in every area on NZ already with affiliation. These clubs are more \'stable\' (don\'t mind me saying that?) than Clubsub and are already affiliated. It only costs between $30 and $60 to join any of these clubs and then you get to join in their events and any neighbouring clubs events you wish to join. And you get to meet more car-crazy people!
Club merchandise - I try to buy one of everything that comes up because I enjoy being part of the club and also I want to support the person/people/club organising it. It takes a huge amount of enthusiasm, effort and time of individuals to run any sort of merchandise sell so I\'ll try to support it.
Done now ;D

I can make the sound when shifting harshly - it\'s the rear diff hitting something somewhere. You can stiffen that with whiteline bushings but I cbf. I just shift slower most of the time.

Let me see - Bunnythorpe-Haywards A and B Lines with optical fibre embedded in the earthwires :-)

Looks great Dave!

What about when you accelerate or brake fast? Do you get the chattery sound then too?

My trusty calculator says that combo (215/45x17) will ride 14mm higher than std (205/50x16).
So... if you\'ve lowered it in any way, you\'re losing heaps of suspension travel, and then losing 14mm more.
If I was an old man, which I am, I may find that too harsh and bumpy
The same trusty (but could be wrong) calculator says that the car will be going 2.6% faster than the speedo says

Does anyone else use their jack as a skateboard around their garage?

Mmm, have seen you drive. There\'s always a lot of smoke - at the time I thought it was coming from the tyres

I would second this place. They are awesome and quite reasonably priced too.
I\'ve recently have them fix up a couple of spot on my WRX and they did a really good job. The two small jobs came to $220 and that included paint & finish. They also provided me with paperwork to show the WOF inspector.
They fixed the floorpan of my charade for a very good price and also provided good paperwork for the inspector.

1998 V4 STI 100k, BEB failure at Manfield. 1st time with semi-slicks on track, BEB appeared after banked corner onto back straight. Oil was 7/8ths full ie a little bit down from the full mark.
