  1. Im got different thoughts to the other guys, get the dealer to fix it, but do get a second opinion on the damage (not a backyard mechanic) plus an agreed repair process before you start. That way you end up with a new car with a new engine, whats to say you don\'t go and buy another one and get the same issue 4-6months down the track and its out of dealer warranty. Providing it was fixed right, you should be problem free (which they have to sort anyway if you get any in the first three months) and it will have better resale value (with receipts) in the future.

I saw that car on TM, worth keeping in my opinion, rare at nz new to.

    My 2c anyway.

These things must be easy to roll, my cousin rolled one on sealed road trying to do a handbrake slide and I saw one on tv that had been rolled also after attempting a handbrake slide

On a wet road, I can get mad full countersteer hella drift yo, on a dry road, this happens.

Need to adjust suspension and centre of gravity.

I think you will need to cut the roof off or fill the floor with concrete change the centre of gravity on that thing

  3. Everything you have said is bang on. For a twenty minute bit of fun sti all the way, for 1.5hrs plus or regular commuting Audi by a long shot. I agree with running costs though, theres always this terror in the back of your mind that something is about to cost you 4k plus, which is about 2k for the same thing in an sti.

As im now getting older and do bugger all kms, kids etc mine next nice car will probably be an audi s4, though will certainly compare against a v9 sti at the same time ;)

  4. So the problem was that there was stones jammed between the the top of the shock and where it fits onto the car, seems like the little bolts up there are a bit long and dont let stones out once theres a few in there. pain in the arse of a spot to.

Also had a sway bar link replaced. Still got another one to do as well i think.

    Better now anyway.

  5. Its on cusco zero 2 coil overs as well. my assometer also says the the 45s run better than the 40s my old cars had on them, less road noise and hard jolting on the bumps. When you buy the tyres, just ask about road noise as thats the biggest factor with performance tyres. Sometimes a cheaper quality tyre gives a better overall result imo ;)

  6. Mines at 330 all round and have 215x45 x 17, I think the guards at the back have been rolled slightly. I dont get any rubbing, but have not done a trip with any weight in the car just a sunday drive with the kids etc. 45s run much better than the 35s that the old 18s were. Im not sure on the km per hour accuracy, seems ok to me. Reads the same on the Apexi RSM as the speedo if that makes a difference.

I have one and yes to the above, nice when just cruising around, when you put your foot down sounds like a different car.
