So the 6x9s I have are poo?

Was looking at one of these, anyone used one?

So the factory car stereo system I had in my Audi was pretty good for a standard system, and im missing the quality of it a bit in my type r. I just fitted a JVC KD-r736bt that my better half gave me for my birthday and its got front six inch speakers (not sure on make) and sony xplod 300w 6x9s at the rear. Theres seems to be a complete lack of base compared to my audi concert system, and you have to crank the nuts off it to get any sort of decent sound, no good when the kids are in the car What am I missing, amp or something else? no im not keen on filling the boot up with a sub and doof doofing around the streets ;D Just after some quality sound. All help much appreciated

what speakers fit before i run off and buy the ones that dont? im guessing these are the ones that provide decent base? Sorry for the hijack

I recently changed my starter motor and had the same problem. It just needed a jump with an extra battery to get it going, must have been sticky or something. May work if your fuse is not the answer.

The last set i brought cost about $80, but that was 8 years ago now. What sort of money should I be paying?

Have done the starter motor, wouldn\'t be surprised if it as the fuel pump or the spark plugs. Its also a bit intermittent which is why I was leaning towards the spark plugs.

Im guessing spark plugs? Also doesnt start evenly if that makes sense?

Thanks, ive sorted a Genome one. Just need to get it fitted as its a 3 inch from the resonater back and its welded at the resonator on the three inch end.

Get something from a similar age as the car, they always suit the best in my opinion.
