Oil and water sweet as

Its a turbosmart one, im sure its a boost leak... but then again i know fuck all lol. Please any help is good help!

Drove home sweet... Check engine light came on 30secs before i got home, still drove sweet... Went to go to the shop and now it wont keep running after it starts... Only runs for a second or two.

That pretty much explains what happened on my last scoob. But i never had it dyno'd to prove what i had been told. Wish i could boost 20psi again... Have an engine build to withstand 24psi but my stupid V1 ecu wont let me anywhere near it

Im about to plumb my wastegate in for good... In my last subbie i could plumb and unplumb in like 5mins, and whenever it was plumbed in the car felt a little bit more aggressive.
Now im not sure if it was just a mental thing as ive heard somewhere it does add back pressure or if it actually did help.
Just seeing what the subbie gods of this club have to say!

Its on my 94 Type RA. I have standard ecu so as far as im aware the boost cut is around the 14-15psi? It has a twisted turbo setup and the guy i brought it off was a stoner from Marsterton so i wont be surprised if it wasnt done properly.

When i brought car i took it in to get an alarm... The guy there said the turbo shouldnt be making that noise and from there on the noise has been getting progressivly worse, to the point that i can hear it over my exhaust.
And after boosting for a short while... i mean 0-100 you get this smell and white smoke coming from around the bottom of the turbo... And boost is never quite the same... My HKS EVC boost controler is set to 12psi and until the noise started it would hold at 12psi but now it either doesnt reach 12psi or will boost upto 13psi.
Dont be sorry aboout being harsh... Its good to get the straight facts... Thats how i learn so hopefully one day i can help someone else

So new car and the turbo is about to go... Cheaper to buy a new turbo or fix?
Plus when it comes to changing the turbo... for example i end up getting a vf22, is it a simple bolt on hook everything up and off she goes? I have never had a turbo issue before!

Big deal? Ill be getting something abit bigger than a vf23 when i come from auz. If it is what you think will the new turbo sort it out?

My mate took my car for a drive.. I noticed when its cold for the first 3 seconds blows blue smoke then it stops. I hope this isnt the start of a bad problem

I was driving from linton to palmy doing 80 in my ra coz it was cold... Saw some bright as lights behind me, then this white BRZ passed me, badged toyota... AMAZING. Even better in real life ae. I tried to take photos but my shitty iphone sucks! So i flashed him and gave him the double thumbs up!

Ha fixed mine bro... Got a bottle of power steering fluid stop leak... It was $8.99. Did a mean job. Off to Auz for a year so ill replace it when i get back. So $9 did the job for now

Best bet is to take it out to see where the leak is im guessing? Am i able to put it back in untill i fix? Plus are there any hidden traps taking this out or is it pretty straight foward?
