I have a 1997 wrx sti sedan and my D2s have packed a sad.
My mate has a 2000 wrx wagon with CUSCOS in it and the front suspension will fit but we dont know if the rear will fit..
and are cuscos any good?

The Brand is called Hybrid or HDi, They r specially made for wrx. That would make sense as i have had wiring issues before

Awhile ago i had a hybrib boost controller put in my 97 v4 sti
Straight away the wires inside it crapped and needed doing.
Now 4mths on low boost 11psi works fine but high boost seems to be real uneven and alot of black smoke pours out the back.
Could this be the boost controller causing this or the car itself?

I have a 1997 wrx sti and the left front c.v boot is torn... We had the wheel and breaks off yesterday but me and two of my mates could not get the axle off for the life of us... is it different in a subaru to other cars because my mate has done them before just not on a wrx
Is there any special things you need to do?

Was driving last night and my 97 sti made a pop sound and would not drive and boost would not go over 0 on my boost gauge. When it idles it sounds really rough. Any ideas as to what could have happened

I am after just a piggyback ECU because a full 1 is a tad out of my pricerange.
But my v4 has a vf22 in it and i was told a piggyback would not work
Would it?

I have ordered ths and i am getting it installed and tuned. They want to know what high and low boost i want to run. I have a 97 V4 sti dne 24km. Standard semi forged with vf22.
What do i run?

How do you get the standard head unit out of a 97 V4 sti? I cannot find any screws or nothing for the life of me!!!!!!!!!!!

No im getting no bearing noises... im putting 95 in but just started to put 98 in today. Getting it checked out next week. Could it be the air flow meter by anychance?

Just went for anutha drive and it was fine. So dont knw wat that was about... if it was blown turbo or intercoolr pipe thn it would b perminate ae?

I have a 3inch down pipe from the turbo but thats it so far... standard as apart from that... i just got it..
i wana run low high boost... mayby 10 and 16psi... it doing 12 atm

I recently brought my subaru after ditching the supercharged levin but do not know wat a standard non STI engine is capable of. I am going to forge it but have quotes of $7000 and Kant afford it yet.
So What can i and cant i du to it until the rebuild?

Full boost problem?

Whenever i hit full boost my car sounds like its missing and black smoke comes out the back, and runs quite bad.
This happens a little bit on 11psi and when i switch to 18psi the same thing happens but worse.
I started trying to solve the problem this morning by replacing the spark plugs, fuel filter and cleaning out the air flow meter.
This made the problem worse?
its a 1997 wrx sti version 4... any ideas??????
