Looking at running a 6S and yellows with an orange AFM on my V3. What I wish to know is any orange AFM suitable or are there different sorts?

Will a STI V7 intercooler fit easily into a V3? I know the blowoff valve is mounted differently. Also is the STI V7 different from a standard V7?

Will 17inch STI mags and tyres 225 45 17 (year 2002) fit on a V3 with out messing with the gaurds? What is the max tyre width with these mags that can be fitted without altering the gaurds? ???

I have a 97 wrx fitted with the earlier bonnet and grille (bought like it) and the bug catcher air intake dosen't line up with the intercooler. So I have bought a 99 alloy bonnet to rectify this, but which grille should I / can I use that will fit correctly not to worried about looks but fitment. I understand there maybe two after the early one (early one being with the bar across centre) before bug eye. ???

bought a 3 plug ECU for my 97 v4 wagon from sedan 98 (both Jap imports) running the same AFM and injectors in the hope of getting some more power original has 2S new one 8S on it, but sadly it doesn't work guess the wiring is different. Both are 3 plug. Does anyone have a compatibility cross reference chart or similar?

Will a V5 ECU work in a V4 car without rewire, ie. plug and play?

For clarification I have a 97 wagon wrx manual import (not STI) the infomation on a UK site similar to the info given by Dirca above and also in a book called Subaru Impressa Turbo by Chris Rees says they put out less power but not why. In 97 for example for a Jap import wagon like mine it puts out 250PS in manual form but the saloon puts out 280PS. (The automatic wagon puts out 240PS). My understanding was the TD04 turbo was across the range (not STI or RA) in this year along with other changes coils, intake manifold etc. Still leaves the main question unaswered though. Is it the ECU or turbo scroll or.... :-\

No, motor power output differs, nothing to do with auto manual. Anyone know?

How does the saloon put out more power than the wagon? is it just the ECU or the turbo control or cams or....
