  1. Thanks mate - appreciate the info! You're right though, I've been to a few wreckers and the tow bar assemblys seem to be pretty hard to come by. I think a custom install might be the best option (was just hoping not to spend $400+).
  2. Hey guys, I've got an 06 Legacy 2.0 GT (sedan) and I'm wanting to put a tow bar on it. I'm assuming that these cars came with a factory option for a tow bar, so I'm wondering if it would be possible to find a tow bar assembly from a wrecker and install that (assuming the chassis has the appropriate holes etc pre-drilled from factory). Anyone know if it might be that simple? And would a tow bar assembly from other models potentially suit. I.e. from a GT wagon? Any info appreciated! Cheers.
  3. Hi all, Purchased a 2006 Legacy BL5 today. First project on the list is the audio - I'm hoping to rip out the factory nav system and install something better. Can anyone tell me if the factory nav system is sitting in a standard double din mount? I'm hoping to put a Parrot Asteroid Smart in the space. Here's what my dash looks like: https://goo.gl/photos/q5arAUxGQPvqcNzg7 Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks very much for that. So there\'s no way to change the language on the displays on the gauge cluster? When I cycle through the trip/fuel/temp info, it\'s partly in Japanese. And what\'s the best way to rip out the ETC device? Cheers!
  5. I just purchased a new 06 GT fresh imported, it\'s got some bits I\'m not sure how to work or even what there are, hopefully someone has ideas. -The in-dash trip computer (within the instrument cluster) is in Japanese, how do I reset the km count or even ideally change the language. -A slim unit with a slot for a card next to drivers right knee with 2 buttons. -A Japanese woman speaks to me every time around 10 secs after starting the car, any ideas what would that be? -If anyone has a manual or place to find one for the right model in english that\'d be awesome. Sorry, unable to do photos at the moment. Cheers
  6. Thanks for all the advice. I did one someone said and stomped hard on the brakes a few times. It seems to be a bit better.. Might just get it into a decent mechanic and get them to give the brakes a good look at. Don't really have the time or know-how to do it myself.
  7. Yeah one of the mechanics took it for a spin after the installation so I assume he did it properly
  8. Hey guys, I purchased my 2005 Legacy 3.0R from Winger last December. After a few months it started getting pretty bad brake shudder. Winger had a look and replaced the front discs as they couldn't be skimmed. This fixed the shudder. A couple of months later the shudder slowly started coming back. When it got really bad, I took it back to Winger who replaced the front pads and skimmed the discs. The shudder was fixed again. It's a couple of months later now and the shudder is slowly coming back again.. I don't thrash it at all, most of my driving is on the highway. Is this a common problem with this model? Can anyone think of what could be causing it? Surely brand new genuine pads/discs last longer than a couple of months =/ Any info appreciated. Cheers
  9. Thanks guys. Another question - does anyone have a PDF of the owners manual for the 2005 3.0R (or even another year if they're similar)? I've been Googling for a while but can't find anything..
  10. Got the car today.. LOVE IT! Definitely a completely different beast than my DC5 Integra Type R. It's awesome having usable power down low, and it keeps on pulling right up to the limiter. Ride is great. Firm but not uncomfortable, and it loves being thrown around corners. It's hard to believe it's a 1500kg car, I don't think it handles much worse than my Type R. Very happy. Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated
  11. Thanks for that link.. reading all the specs is getting me way too excited about picking it up tomorrow haha
  12. Could anyone provide me with a bit of info on the car? I'm after chassis code, engine code, etc so I can Google some specs. Wingers have it advertised as a 2005 Legacy 3.0R.. but Google comes up with lots of conflicting info when it comes to specs.. Much appreciated as usual
  13. Sedan.. I just bought it Picking it up in a few days.
