  1. hi guys,

currently have a 2003 GT B Spec wagon, looking to upgrade to the 2009+ model, either 3.6 litre outback or 2.5gt legacy.

1 - whats the 2.5 litre turbo engine like compared to the ej20 from the 2003 shape legacy? reliability? fuel economy?

2 - any other issues/comments with the 2009+ shape? ideally I'm hoping for a bit more power and better economy.

3 - anyone with a 3.6 litre outback want to comment on that experience?

    thanks

    Dave

  2. I had a version 4 sti coupe and sedan, I think it's harder than those cars damping wise.

Could be me getting older as well!

it's the bilsteins in combination with the 18" tyres as well, the bridgestones are pretty hard apparently on the sidewalls, will change brands when tyres wear out.

It's more the fronts, the rears seem to be not too bad.

It's more that it should be a much more comfortable car than it is, not meant to be like an STI etc.

do you have a link of where it says rev a legacies harder suspension etc?

I wonder if the bilsteins can be revalved or easier just to swap them out?

  3. Hi Guys,

Just bought a BP Legacy GT B Spec with the 18'' wheels etc and it's great but the suspension is really hard!

It's all standard by the way not aftermarket suspension.

Is there anyway of getting the suspension a bit softer? I.e can the bilstein be revalved or something easily?

Don't want to go down to 17" wheels to help it cause really love the 18's!

Sorry just shows how old I'm getting!!

  4. Depends on the condition, I just bought the GT-B Spec version and auto wagon of yours for $14k with a spare set of 18" mags.

Had done 109kms but mint as condition, was grade 4.5 when imported in November 2010.

Selling it under a month, that's the real problem really, hard to sell quickly and get a good price at the moment.

I found the dealer cars were crap as condition, smoky, seats ripped, rubbish really compared to the car I bought.

  5. hi guys,

I'm back driving subarus again just bought a bp legacy GTB-spec, real nice to drive.

The front grill is peeling paint so either need to get it repainted or buy a new one.

Anyone know where to get one or selling one? Only want the standard one not aftermarket.

    thanks

  6. Hi guys,

    I'm looking to buy a 2003-2009 legacy either the 2.0 turbo B-spec or H6 3.0r.

Was really interested in the H6 3.0R and heard really good things about it until I heard problems with them drinking heaps of oil!!

Does anyone have one that can comment or mechanics about how bad this problem is? Is it rare or affect alot of the cars?

If you have a H6 3.0r and it doesn't drink oil, I'd also be keen to hear from you!

    thanks

  7. Anyone know the fuel economy figures and 0-100km time for the BP wagon GT spec B.

The older shape legacy seems to be pretty poor I'm hoping this model has improved!

Also what extra stuff does the GT spec B have over the normal GT apart from the things I've noticed like the 18's and bodykit etc?

Seems to be hard to find specifications on this model for some reason!

    thanks

  8. My V4 sti type R had a EJ207 put in by previous owner about 30k kms ago and goes mint, is completely standard though.

Did have some flecks of metal in sump plug first oil change i owned it, guessing it was from the previous destruction not cleaned properly.

I blew up my dads RSK-b4 legacy about 2 years ago, melted the sparkplugs etc, wasn't even going that hard, apparently the AFM was dodgy.
