  1. o well its sold now. I see in latest performance car mag they was a 22B in there NZ performance car park with the plate BAD22B anyone here no the owner or the car?
  2. Yes. will the insurance assessor told me their was no chassis damage. Buyers tactics to scare off prospective buyers. At 20k its still a cheap 22B and as i said before one could rebuild it with aftermarket parts and have it road worthy for 40k
  3. went for 19k to a local wrecker who is going to rebuild it. And insurance co advised that their was no chassis damage just suspension damage.
  4. Ok . ill be at work and i dont think the boss would like me being online watching the auction. Be great if you post the final price. How many interested parties etc...
  5. anyone going to the auction. i would like to know what it goes for
  6. you can get the odd 22b wheel off ebay in the uk. Personally i would just put on some volks and aftermarket suspension. the original 22b suspension is a heavy duty version made by bilstein under prodrive name. it rides firm and suits tight track work with a bit off give. all other parts you can source off a v4-5 coupe apart from the front bumper, front guard and i would just get the rear guard hand panel beated. Its not worth replacing the rear guard and bbs wheels just to dam expensive.
  7. you can use suspension parts of a v5/v4 sti to fix that. but shocks and springs are prodrive branded. but just put in some coilovers instead.
  8. Up for Auction tomorrow anyone here bidding on it. Or should i say anyone here with disposable cash?
  9. Ive never meet Kimble but hear he had a couple of 22Bs does anyone know? It would be a cheap rebuild for someone who has a sti v4 coupe or V5 as a donor car. If i didnt have mine i would be keen to buy. Would also be great as a track/race car and put better things into it. Could be a great restoration project but then everyone knows its been in an accident.
  10. If he is the guy that owns a supermarket. Then Yes.
  11. I was also told the owner doesn't want it written off and just wants it repaired regardless off the cost.
  12. i was told that 2 bbs wheels need to be replaced at a cost of 2.5k each and the prodrive suspension was 7k. theirs not a lot of damage just that genune 22B parts ex Japan is very expensive. but if you replaced everything with after market stuff it would end up being a cheap 22B.
  13. Heard there was a 22B in Wellington that may be up for sale by an insurance company. Has had a hit and estimates to fix is up to 50K. The insurance company is tossing up weather to right it off or get it fixed. Its insured for 70k. If it comes up for sale the reserve is set at 10k-20k. Has had a little panel damage, needs suspension and alloys.
  14. if i were your dad i would have made you put the money in a house. A car is only to get you from A2B and only cost you money. The only person that cares about what you drive is yourself nobody else. I would only put good money into a car if it was disposable money or a future investment. Thats my 2 cents worth.
  15. ive used it in my peugeot diesel what do you want to know? it doesnt feel any different than any other type of diesel.
  16. modified they are. mine does 0-100 in 4 seconds flat and tops out at 250kph, may go to 260 but would be right in the redline only because of the gearing. The UK 22B tops out at 280kph ( has longer 5th gear)
  17. Yes. Thats why most 22Bs are modified in some way as you dont want to be at the lights and beaten by a v4sti type R. as i said before standard they are detuned to 205kw at flywheel
  18. just put all you dreamers right. 22b is based on a v4 sti type R. hence why it looks identical to this. only difference is it has a vf23 and closed deck 2.2 block.
  19. will they let any one drive it? Standard they are slower than a standard V5 type r coupe, but really come alive when modified.
  20. the centre gauge pod isnt standard either. do you know if they are going to put the exhaust back to standard?
  21. thanks. it looks real tidy hes done a good job of putting it back to factory. i did notice he has the same trust exhaust as mine. the engine looks standard, but have heard it has a possum link. Do you know if wingers is going to have it for sale?
  22. how does it look. Had Darryl the previous owner of that 22B try to by my 22B last week.
