  1. apparently the prices in Japan are on the up as the GC8 coupes are becoming more rare esp the V6 type R.
  2. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=241452659 was $24k now $28k they told me prices are going up due to cant import them anymore and starting to get rare. Nows the time to invest in a mint GC8 coupe off TM as prices wont get any cheaper. What do you guys think.
  3. I was at Armstrong Subaru in CC last week and they have a 22B in there showroom that was sold to a friend off mine in the US and that's mint. I was told by the Subaru dealer in CC that the one on trademe is a bit scruffy.
  4. yes you import i have seen 2-3 for sale in japan for NZ$46k then you have compliance, freight, import duty etc... still looking at $50k+ better to buy the one in Christchurch and its also road legal. i have to say in another 8years the price would be alot more than what they are now as 22b are becoming more rare. In the UK 22B prices are starting to move upwards for excellent examples. i have 3 friends overseas that have 22Bs and they are kept as collectible investments. There is a 22B in NZ that has done less than 10k and i have seen 1 for sale ex japan that has only delivery ks. Did you know the sultan even has one.
  5. ive talked to him and he doesnt actually want to sell it, its his wife thats making him sell it. He wont take any less than asking price. REMEMBER a car is only worth what a buyer and seller agree upon. i doubt a 22B will ever be owned by a young person as most 22b owners are 40+ and usually money is no object. A YOUNG PERSON WILL NEVER BE INSURED WITH A 22B.
  6. the cheapest 22B ive seen is on trademe 3/400 and he wants 49k done 70k and its an import not nz new. You cant import a 22B OUT OF JAPAN ANY MORE AS IT DOESNT COMPLY TO NZ STANDARDS. YOU NOW HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE 20YR RULE and then i doubt you be able to find one as most of them have been imported into the UK. there were only 5 22B SOLD NZ NEW. and i have the last one sold 395/400. Some of the guys on this forum need to get their facts right before spouting off.
  7. better to buy the real thing. i have to agree im 43 and i brought my 22B as it was my dream car back in 1998. As far as young people go ive had 22B out and young people just think its a normal wrx typer. Its only people who followed subaru when the gc8 was released that truely know the difference.

  11. yes so the 22B had 199kw when it had standard headers and tmic on. has 226kw atw with twin scroll headers and bigger TMIC
  12. Make: Subaru Model: 22B Year: 1999 Name Of Dyno: Keith Stewart Dynopack Date of Run: 24/06/09 VF23@18psi

  14. the s201 dash is the same as a normal sti v5 coupe heres a pic
  15. I WOULD BUY ONE IF SUBARU DID A REPLACEMENT 22B LIKE THIS
  16. why dont you just buy one of these http://www.processwest.com.au/website/prod_subaru/pw_p_9900coldairintake.htm
  17. i just had G4 link fitted to my 22B and its starts better than original ecu they have fixed the cold start and my tuner tuned it so i dont get full boost till the engine heats up. The other good thing is you can save the tuning file in your laptop and give it to someone else provided they have the same car and mods. Then they can upload the file to there G4 ecu.
