Yes, they fit over Subaru 4-pots.
16x7, ET53, weigh only 16lb, 1/2 lb lighter than the more common fat fives.
Used on NZ new v5/6 WRX (silver) and NZ new v6 STI hatch (gold).
Anyone have a side on pic, or more pics of a wagon with them on? 555 blue would be good
I have to show she who must be obeyed before changing anything.

I like the bottom ones.
If they\'re the nz new ones I guess they\'re the ones to look out for.
I assume they\'ll fit over 4 pots?

Hey all, I have a NZ new 1999 non sti wrx wagon, 555 blue with 4 pot factory front brakes
Can anyone tell me which wheels it would have rolled off the show room floor with?
I\'ve Googled it, but it seems either 5 spoke 16\'s or the 17\'s 5 split spokes?
I\'m thinking I might take the aftermarket wheels off and put it back to factory.

I rang Subaru and they wanted $350+gst and it would take a couple days for them to get the key
So I went to Ross Galt and they cost $139 and did it then and there.
I guess it\'s just another safety net, someone wants to pinch the car, they better make sure they have the key.
-
It is nz new, no central locking on the key.
I\'ll give subaru a call later on.

So my car only came with 1 key (99 wrx), so I thought I\'ll potter down to Mr minit and get a new one. Much to my surprise he inserts it into this box, the lcd screen pops up with a message, he then advises me it\'s $180 for a new key!!!
I never realised the keys had a chip in them.
I\'m a bit tight to want to pay that much, is there a cheaper option?
I\'m assuming the chip is in the key to stop the car being hot wired?

The arm rest on the drivers door has gone kinda wrinkly on the handle on my wrx wagon
Does this piece of the door skin separate off, or am I up for a whole new door skin?

This is what I\'m talking about

Mine has 1, right in the middle. It doesn\'t reach the top of the of the scoop. There are stays on either side though.

I have a \'99 NZ new wrx wagon. I noticed today that in the middle of the scoop on the bonnet there is like a shark fin type thing. It almost seems the perfect place to have an intercooler sprayer
Is this what it\'s for? Or is it purely aesthetics?

So I pulled the lower dash off in my GC8 wrx and unplugged the turbo timer. Now my ignition is working properly as it should. However when having a quick look around I found this little box. Seems to be a few wires coming out of it. The yellow wire has been cut.
I\'m assuming that the box is something to do with the ignition
Does it matter that the yellow wire has been cut? Everything seems to be working as it should.

Bugger. Probably not a good idea then.
Maybe I\'ll just have to pursue bending out the middle support on my current seats a bit more to make it more comfortable.

Thanks. They look good.
I was thinking if I get some I\'ll paint them gold, or try find some factory gold ones. Was either that or Sti 17\'s.

I\'m thinking of ditching the after market wheels my car came with and fitting some of the straight spoke 18\'s from a BP Legacy GT.
Does anyone have a pic of an Impreza with a set of these wheels so I can get an idea of looks? Preferably a wagon.
Thanks

Factory towbar questions
in Impreza, Crosstrek and XV
Posted
Hey all, I have a 99 gc8 with a factory towbar, the one with the removable tongue
When the tongue is removed is there a place where the tongue is suppose to be stored
Mine seems to be missing unless it\'s hidden somewhere, anyone have a spare tongue lying around? Are they the same as the ones that come on other car manufacturers? If no one has one and I can\'t find one will towbar shops be able to supply one? Ballpark figure
Thanks
