  1. Mine did the same when I got it back from the panel beater, Mark.

Took off gently and stayed gentle and bam, little load and felt like the car was in a hurry to get somewhere. Thought to myself "holy sht!"

Hasn\'t done it since but was exactly what you were describing.

  2. +1 the bumpers are a killer, look at them the wrong way n they break. I enjoyed mine apart from wondering every time I got back to my car if it\'d be whole. The bumpers are about 3/4mm plastic and offer no give, standard b4 bumper has some movement but not the Blitzen.

If I were you, and you got a Blitzen, replace the bumpers with B4 ones until you sell it. :P

  3. Marky you\'re a bloody helpful fella aren\'t ya! I still await your "How to" novel as previously mentioned, your write up\'s are so kiwi..

DNA - that sucks! I was realllyyyy hoping not to see someone say that may be my issue. Well no one said it yet anyway... :-X

Timmah - I nearly got around to that in the weekend, but turns out I don\'t work well in the blistering heat, but will def get it in to someone to have a look.

  4. Twice since I have had my car - around a month when I have started it from cold on a slight incline it had blown a whole heap of white smoke. Only on the start, not continual. The second time it happened I managed to get a sniff, didn\'t smell like petrol at all but wasn\'t condensation either.

I noticed the other day, I jumped on to the highway and then noticed a car hauling up behind me, so gave it a bit of jandal and more smoke but only when it really got up it(Over 3/4k RPM). When I got home, I wiped my hand along the bumper above the exhaust and got soot back... Just so happened to drop Dad off to pick his car up from a garage, and I asked the guy there and he suggested Over Fueling, and to check for aftermarket ECU, so I did and I think it is a standard Subaru one. Unisia Jecs Corporation A18-000 DOS with a big 40 above everything and a few more numbers.

My question is, does this sound right? The only thing I haven\'t done yet is reset ECU - haven\'t had time.

    Car is a 99 BH5

EDIT: Just had a thought, I didn\'t take the cover off (just looked at Marky\'s new one) ECU so don\'t know what is actually under there.

  5. Boy that spiraled out of control..

I would say make has nothing to do with it, it\'s an appreciation to someone\'s hard work and dedication to their motor vehicle. Whether it be Subaru or Nissan, who cares each to their own. If you\'re proud of it - flaunt it.

Anywhooooo pic of mine, simple and nothing amazing but hey!
