  1. I think the backs are 4inch bro but don\'t quote me on that I went with Pioneer kevlar series for my rears it really does pay to put a square of Dynamat round where you mount the speakers really notice the difference and new bungs on the door cards so there are no annoying rattles

Yeah i work with the guy and have seen the slip. Pappu did a bit of work on his tune. That was intake, turbo back and launch control and laid down 11.9.

I\'d personally go vf34 if staying single scroll... but the twin scroll turbo\'s if set up properly come on savagely and hold qukte well through to redline

its that holding through to redline thats needed to get that extra bit of power which the 34 just can\'t do

Friend of mine ran 11.9 on stock turbo... just saying... sp00n had a td06 pushing 24psi all day on v7 block

Any proof bro seen an 11 with a 34 before never on a 30 I went for a ride in Pappu\'s old car with the TD06 in it which is why I wanna go bigger. My car feels boring and lifeless even though its not just want more

Johnny, get a td06sl2 with 8cm housing decap your injectors and get a tune you\'ll be running low 12\'s on standard computer and normal bolt ons. I personally knew my car had a 11s pass with the TD06 but I wanted to upgrad to a bigger turbo. But yeah just my 2 cents.

/quote]interesting i reckon that combo has a 11 in it also

Hit up Amit once you\'ve done all the modification, he will sort you out on a nice tune

he done the last one as well

My old apexi with ported p20 exh..im sure that would perform better then 34 with a tune which i never had...might be able to talk the owner into selling since hes swapping longblocks.

Think marc got 240wkw when he had it on the pd

I just picked up a p20 housing to just incase i went this way as well

VF34 and decaps then...its not much further than a decent tune with what you have.

Murch does what i have in my garage thread. Well thats one of the options.

I will be doing some EGBP testing soon so will let you know.

I saw boons results with the 34 I just want that lil bit extra up top as well saw the 34 run out after 6krpm

Decap your injectors which will take them to 840-50cc ish, go the bolt on GT3071 with internal or external gate on housing, fmic, and tune the stock ecu with carberry rom which makes it S/D which was the way of the future years ago.

GT3071 with 60mm or smaller turbine is proven on so many cars overseas and in NZ also Im just not a fan of it being a throwaway item hence why boons one is so good for the money.

Need to think about how far you want to push your block also.

not any further than say 250\60 taw didn\'t know boon was selling one either
  9. Ok so looking for info to help me and possibly everyone else wondering about the best possible stock locating aftermarket turbos. And also if you have results with the turbo and supporting mods

Right now Im looking in the avo direction

    http://www.avoturbo.com/pdf/avo_450STI_turbo_01.pdf

I have reached the limit of my stock set up so all usual mods have been done already looking to go FMIC, bigger injectors bigger SLT and stock ecu tune

Anyone got any experience with anything else

if the hub is wobbly as bother whrn the center nut is off... it means the bearing rooted as fuckery ... right?

    /quote]

Incredibly rooted, on my V7 the hub was still tight with the center nut off and the bearing on there was pretty shagged.

same here the only reason I knew my mine was buggered was from the noise the wheel made when going round corners

    Ok semi serious answer

Started doing cars up from day dot when I stuck a sweet k&n onto my carby mirage

I blame gran turismo and my dad being a car nut as well, I learned to drive in a vr4 and lancer gsr for example

Then the internet came along stronger, combination of trying to keep up with the joneses, impress the nzpc forum and hanging out with the mmc crowd in wellington reinforced it and taught me how to do stuff, grew up in that golden age of dirt cheap cars, cheap gas and a massive car scene

Got hooked on drag racing for a while, some legal, some the fast and furious spec doing the wellington and chch aves drag strip

Grew out of that nonsense but wont ever shake the mindset of fast = fun, just have a different outlook on it now I suppose. Same as how the music you grow up with just sticks with you, its a habit I cant shake just trying to tinker with what I have. When I get good results it just encourages me too

pretty much my story as well very similar lines change the vr4 for a XY 351 clevo
