  4. although you can do it this way you also need prior access to the car the same remote as the installed alarm and the keys to the car which most thieves wont have (unless it someone you know ripping you off)its pretty easy to clone any remote, spectrum analysers can do it and they are readily available for purchase to most people dirty little theiving bastards just wait till you push your alarm scan the airwaves with the spectrum analyser and change the oscillator in a unversal remote to the frequency the spectrum analyser has just picked up and voila bobs your uncle and your carless it sounds like hollywood bulls*** but its all true you can even google it the only way around this is with what they call rolling codes everytime you arm your alarm the code or frequency changes each time slightly making this method useless autowatch is a good alarm I have it and my car is still here still cost about what was quoted for this one but hey whats a lil bit of cash for peace of mind the 446 rli is the model number 5 star approved so good for insurance failing all this a pitbull will deter any bastard[

  6. are there torque settings i should adhere to when bolting back up
  7. Sapnin Subbers Gonna install some springs soon just looking for tips and advice, have done it before but not in a subaru besides there could be some hints from all you subby lovers that could make my job easier was going to repack the grease in the shocks as well as seen in a post on here somewhere... Also any one know the torque settings for the strut tops etc etc
  8. Interested to see what you have done I am doing it properly so its not an eye sore when the trunk is popped. I didnt wanna block off the corners of the boot as this will block access to the tail lights if i ever need to get at them was thinking of slim lining it along the back of the rear seat so I can screw back to the supports at the top also so the sub is firing to the back past experiences have given good results with it facing this way. Also was thinking about a false floor seen as though I have a 17inch wheel as my spare and flush mounting the amp in the corner covered in perspex, maybe lighting? any other ideas? Im all ears
  9. nah just want that little bit of a kick as well havent had a sub in the last 3 cars Ive had so want to get back into some quality sounds. had the gear sitting around for the last 3 years the Ball and chain said to use it or lose it... And yup gonna amp em the alpine mrvf545 can do 125wrms for the two fronts with 500wrms bridged rear not a bad amp at all really
  10. need ideas for the box will make it myself want to be able to get the spare out and fit a pram in the boot when needed from time to time.Want a good looking job not just a amp and box floating round in the boot anhy pictures of other members car installs would be great System as follows 6.5 infinty kappa 60.5cs components front stage Stock rear door speakers (only the kids in the back) 1 12 inch pwc soundstream sub AlpineMrv F545 amp aiming for SQ more than outright noise soundstream recommend 3.0cuft for the box willing to go just a bit under maybe 1.5 cuft minimum.....Am I dreaming that I can do this or os it possible
  11. i think so papps now i gotta make a false floor when i put the sounds in so the standard version 7 wheel will fit
  12. nah it didnt fit the rear either my right rear brake caliper has been scored from the spacesaver just seen it when i rotated my tires a few weeks back.. got a standard version rim waiting for me just gotta go pick it up
  13. Why in subarus infinite wisdom did they give the version 7 Sti a space saver for a spare wheel knowing damn well it dont fit..... Damn muppets P.S the muppet show was my favourite show as a kid is this why I persevere with Subaru
  14. dont forget fuses for the amps should be no more than 300mm from the battery or else you just create a fire hazard all the rest of the info is spot on Sccobdu sounds like a guru
  15. out of interest will these springs fit mates wana do a swap
  16. Right on I'm with ya, coilovers seem a bit much for a street car though Papps will see how my hook up pans out just got some H&R springs and have heard nothing but good about em cant wait to get this stuff in

  21. sorry bout it dude will try to keep the dumbness down
  22. hey guys wil;l put this in here as things get a response faster from the impreza guys which sway bar would i get the most bang for my buck installing the rear or the front
