  1. Should be a god damn monster with a destroker and e85. Dunno why they can't hurry up and bring the alcoholic goodness down these ways.

Also, whats the timeline for this? Going to get onto it fairly quickly or fluff around indefinately as i've been doing.

as quick as peer pressure and limited funds can go.

Sent from my Baked potato using Telekinesis

  2. You should also go for a massive fück off turbo and a billet block, and heavy fück off valvesprings, Some hearty head studs, Forged bottom end, Flex fuel E85; Big power.

And then make everyone angry because that's what the internet does.

    Internet = 5% information, 5% advice, 90% Salt

Oh; on another note: My gauges arrived today!

FYI: Anyone on here with a business- It is my recommendation to not use Fastway; they're a pack of useless pricks, with poor procedures!!

Anyone on here who works for fastway; Tighten up your procedures!

I hit this with a sledgehammer, not gently, I play a lot of softball so I can swing things pretty good.

If you could move this spline with a rubber mallet I would declare you a wizard.

DYEL bruh? ;) Shop press wins all though.
Sometimes C***s are stuck; sometimes I spray things with entire cans of WD-40/CRC 5-56/INOX then leave em overnight.
if that fails- find a press or jimmy something up.

Drastic times call sometimes for your measures though; F*** the C***, get a new one.  TBF, I did once break a hub pressing out a bearing...GG, no re.

A brass or copper hammer is ideal because you can put a heap of effort into the swing with minimal risk of mushrooming the axle. Not a tool that is required too often though so it is hard to justify the purchase.

I usually put a little antisieze on the splines before I put them back into the hub to prevent issues down the road.

wooden/rubber mallet achieves same purpose for a fraction of the cost

  5. Niiice braces!
I won a trademe Auction for the 3 defi gauges I needed to complete my life.
Trademe user: Summergirl29, Kirsty, from Christchurch with the GRB; I don't know who you are, but you made me pay -not more money than I was willing to spend; but you extended the auction by easily 10 minutes from a comfortable $245 to $330; and then left. Not cool.
Sometimes I feel like people get their friends to bid on things to increase the sale price.

Now I'm waiting for them to arrive. *schoolgirl shrieks*

that v8 has been boy racered up though.

    upgraded clutch and flywheel

    turbo back exhaust

    bov

    pod filter

    doof doof and dark tints.

i'll put money on it running rich a.f. and slower than a stock v8 sti because of those mods.

@94 Leone recently purchased a v8 sti, payed similar price for it iirc.

the gauge pod is actually a tickbox option as well, and worth over a grand if everything works too

    V9 mate. jeebuz.

also Mine is JDM and had only done 115 thou. so has TS goodness and bigger hubs.

also I have the churbro back and pod mods. But it's tuned for it. and I have a cold air box.

Pretty steep considering you can get the standard bushes from partsouq for 15 odd bucks each. Sure a typical machine shop wouldn't have an issue pressing them out and new ones in and wouldn't charge anywhere near that much

OR, build your own press out of a bottle jack and whatever is lying around the shed

Put the piston in a drill press and hold a file against it to make it round.

And you flatten them with a belt sander not a bench grinder, ya bloody amateur.

Nah, take the guard off the side of the bench grinder, use the flat surface; Not everyone has a belt sander you know- and the orbital sander just doesn't spin fast enough!

LOL I don't want die grinded cam journals thanks xD (for others, it's an inside joke)

Nah it wasn't your fault though bud. If you were to have been at fault, down shifted and sent a piston through the block, heck yeah you'd be stumping up a new motor, but yeah.

Pfft, I'll weld up your piston and Dye grind the bore mate. Just use a bench grinder to make the piston flat again ;) she'll be good as new in no time!

  10. yeah, finally changed the thermostat, woohoo car gets to temp now.
Decided to also power up the defi controller and gauges I have.
Turns out I bought an N/A manifold pressure gauge(mixed problems of facebook deals and BF gauges) LOL max reading 0.2 Bar
Water temp gauge works well though.
So; I have a Defi manifold pressure gauge F/S haha
