haha the man ^
"smooth operator" must run in your blood also lol
as for OP
In my experience (ive only done it once) running the td05 on the standard bc5 engine other than exhaust system upgraded worked perfect for me for about 2months before I upgraded my fuel pump purely for risk of it running lean, detonation is a dangerous thing if you dont know what it is you can root your car, to be safe I rekon at least upgrade fuelpump.
btw the standard CAI is fine (even with the ugly "fat-tank") you dont need a stupid pod filter, unless you're looking for a large kW gain then you'll need to buy a red one.
Sweet cheers sounds like good advice

Mine couldn't handle it with a chipped ECU. The control parameters the chip used for boost control was way too slow and it just free boosted. I actually managed to get it to work by running two solenoids in parallel as an experiment but then as it would hold 15 psi right up to red line the fueling was way off and was running dangerously lean (the previous VF10 dropped off up top). So then I freeboosted it as an experiment and it lost a rod bolt and perforated the block.....
Haha dam. So only options are really to go for the whole link thing in which case I mayaswell grab a VF23 or the like and do the full thing. Any other solutions?

Cheers, just looking for more top end really. Don't wanna nuke it in the process though

Ah very interesting didn't even consider the front could be different. Doesn't seem too much of a biggie

Hey,
Sorry tried a search but didn't find anything. This will work correct? As they are both multilink

Remember it could be higher due to pedestrian safety requirements..

Yeah only advantage is having it as a bolt on so no welding charges. Don't think I'll go that route with a non turbo anyway, just a drop and tint

Mint, thanks for your help

Cheers. Haha oh yeah one more thing sorry. What about mufflers? i.e. would this rear section bolt on to the 2.5's mid section? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=234377897
Unlikely I'd go that route, but would interesting to know

Wicked, what about springs?

Hey all,
Will BE RSK or BH GTB shocks fit a 2.5l NA of the same year? I know the GTB and RSK shocks are interchangable, just wondering if I can pick up some shocks for the turbo models and pop them in?
Any help appreciated
Cheers

Bigger downpipe to standard exhaust? BF Legacy
in Legacy & Outback
Posted
Hey, is it possible to hook up a bigger downpipe to a BF then have it hook back up to the standard exhaust? Looking for a way to decrease lag on a TD05 and help spool etc but don't want a loud exhaust
cheers
