  1. Agree, my car was stolen and recovered several years ago with an honestly GARBAGE alarm install, despite it being a 5-star unit itself. A different branded 5-star unit has been installed since, and several attempts at taking the car have failed. It\'s all about how you install it, and making it an honest C*NT to get to. Unless they have a tow truck, a swearing, cursing, man-tears install should be nigh on impossible for a thief to defeat.

But yes, if you are determined to save her, you can build her back up again. There are S2 parts available and both ClubSUB and DOBC have ample spare parts and ample hook-ups with local businesses that could get you back on your feet once you\'ve replaced the tags. We\'re all pretty gutted for you, and many of the Auckland crew know the car personally, so you\'ll probably find yourself with helping hands too.

At worst, as has been said, she would be an excellent donor shell for a dedicated race car, thanks to being a straight car despite the most recent adventures. But she\'s worth more. If there\'s anything we can help you with, at the very least a few beers to drown it all, holla.

  2. I hope they find the c*nts, that\'s a right good job of ruining a damn nice car. F*cked off to hear about this.

IIRC you CAN get the tags replaced for a bit of fuss. Alternatively, the shell could be good for a race car with no intention of being road legal / legal at great fuss.

Christ I hope they find the f*ckers that did this, and the rest of your damn car. Should be mandatory loss of a hand for every car someone steals.

Yes it does have a WRX badge on it for sh!ts and giggles, and yes it's mine :P I'm on the pleb floor of the main building.

I'm in the apartments haha. my legacy is parked down by the builders in the bottom driveway.

Aaaaaah THAT'S why I've never noticed it :D Thought I knew all the Subaru owners here. Missed the only CSer. D'OH.

i used to live there, couple years ago i think?

driveway used to be gravel back then :(

This driveway as gravel would suck so hard! :-\ The bottom entrance is still gravel, and blocked off by angry builders most of the time.

jaja, only the first few meters from the top were done in concrete. But me having the legacy never had an issue being AWD; FWD and RWD used to get out with a bit of burnouts lol. Oh and i might've slipped few times from top cause of black ice in winter lol

Haha oh god, the ice up here huh. The bottom driveway is paved and gets f*ckall sun in the winter, just frost on top of frost. My poor Legacy had the meanest slide down there one day before the snow tyres :-X Pretty decent location though, just a pity about some of the feral residents here ;D

  5. Keen on meandering back and forth - trying to get to QT more often as ReubenH lives there so it's DOBC TIEMS ;D

Planning on going up the weekend five weeks away. May contribute petrol money for any earlier runs if anyone's doing a there and back Friday and Sunday nights. ;D

  6. Mine's auto and milticoloured and poorly behaved. Don't worry, no matter how stock your car is (stock is awesome btw!! Known unmolested!) there's always something more herp :D

When IS the next meet... and can it please be indoors D: Or at least sheltered, lmao...

  7. If you folks want a good photochop result, by the way, you need to find cars that are on the same angle. Even if you have to go and photograph your car in the same way as the example photo you want to post. Photoshop can't change the angle of a wheel, and it will look munted.

Keen on the next one ;D Once the blasted car is sorted.

    :-\ aren't you from Auckland?

I am a dirty Jafa, but I'm currently roughing it up with the bumpkins in Dunedin for a year or two. Getting one of my cars down over the weekend, the other is going into storage.

  9. Always jobs in the three big cities for IT, just depends whether you're brave enough to live in Chch, Welly or Jafatown. At least Aussie offers more $$$, but for the love of all things good and holy get into the habit of always wearing closed shoes, and checking them for wildlife before you put your feet in them! (Just as an ex-Aussie. Just sayin'.)

  10. It'll be a year for me too, maybe two, before transferring back up to Jafa-ville. Just gotta wait for a few pays before I can fix the Legacy and drag her down ;D

Looking forward to a few meets, I'm going stir f*cking crazy here and it's only been a week xD

  11. I really, really gotta stop falling off the radar. Holy sh!tbricks. -POPCORN BREAK-

Once again with the Thick as Thieves eh. Steal a car, modify it, claim it as your own, post it all over FB, then when you're caught red handed you join the local CSi club that found you in the first place to threaten them with an unrelated gang. Despite the fact that they know where YOU live, and you know nix about any of the 10,000 odd members laughing at your expense.

    Nah, not one bit retarded.
