My suby was pretty fast this morning. Nearly freaked me out cause I wasn't expecting it at all!!

There's an nz website that sell even the caps for the heater control bulbs. 5bucks and 5bucks shipping.
I'm starting to get desperate fumbling for the mode and fan speed at night lol
-
It's debatable. I got told it screws 4wd/awd transmissions/ diff/ transfer cases but I'm running non directionals on fronts and directionals on rear (bought car like that) though haven't gotten around to buying a new set.
So... Iv done it on fwd and rwd with no prob lol but I have a feeling it's a no no with awd
-
I dunno, but the mounting points seem to accomodate the extra length at the bottom.. is there something at the top thats stopping it from going where you want it?
Im sure you can unbolt that bracket part anyway..
-
you will be able to get the bulbs anywhere...have a nosy through this site
http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/led-wedge
Already checked. They aren't the bulbs. Not wedge. That and I'm not so keen on getting the globe assortment lot lol

Has anyone tried a 6s purple afm and yellow injector combo?
/quote]
I'd say it'd run about 20% too rich, give it a go. Easiest way to check would be to have someone run it on a wideband.
Gah. Runs mega rich. Pops flame everywhere. When warm at idle it goes from 300-1000rpm - up and down and up and down.
Think il go back to the 4w ecu for now
-
Mmmmm plugged it in just now. Runs well no problems right now. Will drive around with it today and let y'all know how it goes.
No boost cut out at 15psi

It would just be steering knuckle problems like normal
-
I pulled it apart. The cap the led sits on says it's a T 14v 1.4w
The led bulbs legs loops around the cap and that's how it makes a connection.
Sorry cant upload pics off an iPhone.

Lol not them but pmd

Thank you and yeah, I'm searching things too basic and not being specific enough in this instance.

*edited above.
Yes slightly over thinking. But also as an OCD kinda thing where which gives me the better feel (if you know what I mean).
But the vf34 was the intended turbo to get next
And yesssss that's the type of stuff I been looking for. Might pay for me to use different search words as lol- tomei wasn't my first thought as a thread title.
-
Was gonna compile a turbo cfm / pressure ratio to rpm specific to an ej20 though was hoping to already find some already made.
To put it simply, the correct turbo that incorporated early spool/ boost threshold to max cfm peaking at an intended rpm. I.e 7200 rpm etc
It's somewhat contradicting but to copy but not to copy a supercharger increasing pressure as rpm rises.

It's in the heads- cams profile, valves (and also would I be correct in using the term 'buckets' differences -loosely?)
Yeah. Intake manifold ports are the same. The red paint gives you the racey look and the crinkle coat ads power
-
Symptoms are idle goes up and down and starts hunting (with orange afm plugged in)
Runs like super crap when cold
Almost floods and can't start
It's also similar to previous condition I had before with iat sensor
-
O- is there a way you can tell an afm or ecu is crap by looking at it?
I know the smart thing would be to plug it in and see if it throws codes- runs sh!t but this is dumb question thread.

If you're comfortable to pop open the ECU to expose the mainboard, you may find some burnt out components. Just remember to wear a static wrist strap or keep yourself grounded.
AFM, what year? I know the pre-insert type, you could pop off a cover and then you could see the solder joints and if they're cracked.
Iv done my purple afm before- soldered that up. It's the same plug/pin type orange. Guess il just break the silicon and check/ give it a tickle up.
As for ecu- I will open to check. Hopefully there isn't any burn/smoke/scorch marks from fried components
-
Mmm besides being polished they said there was no significant difference. Between intake manifolds besides the red paint. Tests done show no improvement over airflow or performance gains. So it's up to you?

V5/v6 heads are phase 2 - should be identical. Same with manifolds.
V7 manifold has extra port and positioning is slightly different with ports for sensors from memory. It's been a good year since Iv taken a v7 apart tho

People stealing is low. But people stealing animals, they deserve a fate worse than jail. Chop off their effin hand. That's learn em.

Lol buy infra red camera and spotlight motion sensor. Install in/ outside house. Aim at car parked outside window. Put shells all around car and a sign with an arrow pointing up. Look here as you are under video surveillance. Gets them everytime...
