Had a similar sounding issue with my last V7 Sti, the clutch peddle felt a little fuzzy/buzzy when coming in and out haha Hard to explain but yeah sounds similar.
I did 25,000kms with it and didn't have any issues but I did notice that the issue came and went and wasn't there the whole time. I thought it may have had something to do with the fact my clutch fluid tank thing didn't have a heat shield on it and was exposed to heat from the Siamese downpipe

I am sure I will be heading to Herald Island on the weekend so if someone hasn't beaten me too it ill take a nice photo ;D

I thought you were running 23psi? How does that work if the car is entirely factory?
Also, no-one on here has heard your car prior to, or after the said work was carried out so it's a fairly ambiguous question to be asking. Maybe it just sounds different after they let the apprentice panel beater take it for a 160km/hr 23psi boost down the motorway...
My old V7 Sti spiked to this boost once I put an exhaust on it. Not ideal, I just tapped boost back down to 16psi where it was supposed to be. Couldnt have been good for it! Does yours run 23psi right through the rev range? Or just spike and then settle down near 14psi ish.

They are great cars, I bought mine before Christmas after having owned most of the other models eg V5, V7 Sti's and V4 Sti RA and like the V8 Sti the best. I paid $18,250 for mine its done 100,000ks completely standard, very mint and tidy only 1 minor scratch on the whole car etc. So yeah pretty pricey compaired to paying $14k for a similar V7 Sti but I think its worth it!

PIGSTI i think was the old owner, it seems to be up for sale every 12 months or so, a mate of a mate got it for $10K(guy was desprate to sell) then sold it on again for about 14K, this was about 2 years ago now. It looked pretty tidy when I saw it though.
Maybe worth asking who did the original engine build if he's got the reciepts
What was done to it when your mate had it?

I have a mate you could be keen on this;
