The downshifting while slowing down comes into its own when driving larger vehicles, mainly to do with exhaust/engine brakes, but even doing it in any vehicle allows better control if anything goes wrong like say losing brakes or foot slipping of brake pedal.

I have been driving for so long I double de clutch on downshifts in every thing, its a bad habit in syncroed vehicles but by christ i cant help myself :)

same here justa habit drivn the car like a roadranger. Even when changing with no clutch an then your like oh shit ,when it starts crunching.haha. Sucha habit

I can\'t understand why you wouldn\'t just plumb it back. Externals on Subeys, 99% of the time, sound stupid.

/quote]haha your first person ive heard that said that, just person preference I like the sound

Generally because the car runs spring pressure of the chinese gate which is 6-7psi. So always makin noises. Running 15+psi you dont often open the gate driving round town/country. Obviously some people do though...

yea tru that youve gota hear it when she opens at 22+ psi its sounds way better than under 15psi gates

    take a vid!

haha on a track day I will

  5. Hey guys ive got my gate underneath in the usual spot by the front wheel. I went for cert and I need it to be plumbed back, just wanting a cheap job as ive looked at it underneath and its preety direct to the exhaust nothing difficult. Is there anyone in the auckland area whos willing to do it for cheap as its only for cert then remove after cert

    Thanks
