Ring up once more, politey ask to get your car back and just lightly threaten if he does not agree, you will get the police and a lawyer involved. He\'s clearly not stood up to his part of the agreement.
The better attitude you have towards this will go in favor for you if it goes to court/legal action.

Yup hes a fully licensed business so he says. will give him a little bit longer as if I name him his business could potentially go down the hole.

Thanks guys its gettn really serious and now everybody wants me to get him done and my previous engine job he did was like over 5000 and he didnt pay tax as he wanted cash. My lawyer said he can get done through tax department big time minimum of 25000 fine

Hey guys just wanting to see if anyones got any sugestions on what should happen. Well I got a motor fully built to spec by a guy who has a business he runs out of home which I wont name.he did everything on it such as rebuilding,sourcing parts,welding,modifying things etc.i got the car back from him an he mentioned car had excessive smoking after first startup. I then took it directly to my tuner which the builder said and I followd instructions.we then run it in on dyno for awhile after a week or so at tuners wrkshop we decided to fix the minor exhaust leak on manifold so we took manifold off and discovered ezcessive amounts of oil.we then contacted the builder to say hey weve got a possible stem seal leak and will warranty cover it, he kept humming and harrong as id understand bein a bisness one one wants to do free labour. I ask another guy who is a head specialist who the builder took my head to to get assembled and he said yup heil fix the head as long as the engine builder would take it out of the car for him he will fix it free pf charge but latet on that day the specialist rang me saying the builder ask him for money to do it and then he asked me I said u should cover it which he said no. Later on I rang consumer council and they said he should fix if not I have a good chance of winning a court case but he was good to me on my previous engine so I ddnt want to go down that track. Aftr a month of disagreements he said dont go down that track so bring it around and heil fix it. I said ok ive recently gone for a wof and I had a list of things to do majority of them wer small things such as light bulbs ,headlight align,seatbelt replacmnt etc and ill let hom fix all those pronlems ONLY IF HE FIXS THE VALVE STEM SEALS to help him out finacally and he agreed. So I dropped car off to him around xmas time. I txted him numerous times times hows the update on the car especially asking about the valve stems several times over the 2 months he had the car and he never mentioned the stems aftr measking him time after time. He then emailed me saying he wants close to a grand (1000) for the wof jobs. I said sweet ok until I found out he ddnt do the stems as he said hes tested it and theres nothing wrong I said ok write it on paper and everythng will be sweet he then refused to do so so I said there oviously not fine if your not confident enough to write on paper an we kept arguing about the problem with no resolution he then said ive got the car stored at my girlfriends amd u cant see it till your paid in full to his banl acc and I said ok I want to see car firat and he said I cant do that an I said I have the right to kno wea my car is and he kept saying I cant tell u wea it is.it sounded quite dodgy to me hence the reason I ddnt pay at that time and he kept sayn he wont tell me wea it is. I never said I wont pay but I gave him thos jobs only if he was doin the stems if he didnt do stems he should have told me first amd I would have grabbed the car asap and took else where to this day I have no idea wheee the car is has anyone got any suggeations? Thanks for reading?

rex-leggy: i knew what you meant by the 2.5 and the twin scroll and you are right it will help big time, there were other factors that were in the way when this motor was being built, mainly funds for sleeving a 2.5 block and parts were not so available like now, we have been building this motor slowly for 2 years now, next motor which already in the build is a 2.5 and we planing on hitting around 1200hp at the flywheel and that will go into a drag car no more motorway racing lol but like most of you the wages can only pay so much a week so things will be slow, i was only lucky to get help from Innovate Subaru to sponsor the motor.

Eight dollar: will it handle? motor will 100% but the car No its set up for drags brakes too small, shocks too hard, tires are wrong and aliment to go striate. i have never been on a circuit track before but keen to try, ill throw some road tires on and you just let me know when is the next meet, make sure you bring Jon\'s car along as well.
As for power vs power- come on man grow a pair - i only put that dyno sheet on here so people that love subaru\'s can see that you can get this much. As soon as you get a motor to make and hold the power it is easy the to go to a small turbo and make it very responsive, its easy to go down but not easy to make a responsive engine go up- just saying

Have u considered goin ez30 had a look on some overseas forums an they seem to make an excess of 600kw+ quite easy

back on topic mine can also be removed as ive upgraded the engine and power in last several months and still waiting on finalizing tune

Haha some people on clubsub are always serious people and haters.haha funny as an that why I come on here . Its crak up. All im saying is that ratd r is a well respected car and you tryna tell him whats best for his car.haha I think hed kno. It oviously shows 10.03.

No to both single scroll turbo, didn\'t want to go to 2.5 otherwise I won\'t be ablie to rev to 9k but we went big on everything cams valves etc etc
Dude twinscroll and 2.5 would really benifit you. You would get peak power almost 2k earler
once it revs to 9 it will have a 4.5k rpm wide seroiusly powerfull powerband
hosres for courses . earlier power is irrelevant if it revs to 9 . still has awesome area under the graph . doesnt matter how far up or down the graph the area is
its like the modern ktm 350cc motox bike . it is competitive against 450cc bikes although it has less peak power and makes it higher in the rev range it has a better area under the graph
are you going to use the nos in a similar fashion to the gob stopper wrx ?

thats a very old dyno sheet from gobstopper not sure if they still run like that, hes added alot of nos 90kw shot i mite not want to go that far last time we ran a 60kw shot and that felt good + i need to get the full potential out of the motor before the nos.
i was surprised to see gobstoppers sheet lol i over layed mine on top and hes low on torque by around 200nm

Iv got a 2005 impreza non turbo, when driving it makes a whiny noise which increases with speed. Not engine or driveline. Im guessing wheel bearing? Any ideas thanks

I feel for u man. Ive gt a pride an joy and id hate for it to get stolen. Ask for maximum penalty when in court. Try buying a gps car tracker next. Thts my next investment

its a 97 v3 sti , yes all sensors and plugs all in, and the mechanic said he started it but when i went to startr it, it wouldnt start

hi all
ive recently just done everything in my car(full rebuild etc) got the car back and we got it started but seemed to have a leak around the cam cap area, then gave it back to the mechanic which fixed the leak and he retimed it and gave the car back which we tried a whole day trying to start and the car just wont fire up.
weve got spark and fuel but when were trying to turn the engine over but it wont start.
we also pulled the plugs and fired them outside of car and plugs working and also the timing light flashing to but when we put back in car the timing lights not flashing and at the same time cleaned the plugs before putting back in.
same with the injectors.
we also changed around the firing order and tried pretty much everything
anyone got any suggestions
