Hi all,
Long time lurker first time poster here...
I have had my Legacy for the past year and it has been great - definitely one of the better cars around but as with most cars the longer you drive them the more the novelty wears off and the urge for more power creeps in
I've been reading through some similair threads on here and these have been helpful but I did have a few questions myself that I hope some one could help answer for me....
Quick info on my car -
2004 Subaru Legacy GT 2.0 BL (JDM)
odo ~120,000
Auto - Yes I know...
Currently I am wanting considerably more power while trying to keep it as close to a "sleeper" as possible and remain a reliable daily driver, looking around the stage 3 kit that torque performance are offering seems quite good at least in terms of power (Not sure if a full 3"inch exhaust would be sleeper compatable )
Torque Performance kit -
"LEGACY GT 2.0L 2004 - 2006 Stage 3
Minimum 60kw gain (up to 50% more torque)
Replacement cold air intake and high flow filter
Full replacement 3" stainless steel exhaust system
Replacement high flow fuel pump
Turbocharger upgrade
Top mount intercooler and silicon hose upgrade
ECUTEK, custom dyno tune"
1. As my car is an auto do you think the transmission would be up to the huge increase in power?
2. Is a cert needed for any of the work outlined in that kit as its a fair chunk more power than factory? - looked around and couldnt find anything conclusive.
3. Would it be reccomended to upgrade factory brakes in any way or just better pads?
4. Does any one else (Apart from Torq P) do off the shelf type performance kits for Legacy's?
Thanks in advance and I cant wait to get this underway (ok well I do have to wait a little for some more $$ but you get the idea )
Cheers
