  1. My first wrx with basic sti bolt ons and a ecu ripped on everything reliably for years. Heavy abuse.
  2. Your fine lol looks like a pretty human mistake to me friend.
  3. Coils are new, boot inspected when installing, shes solid. Thanks for input though.
  4. Sorry I should mention that Car is v7 sti. no ignition leads, coil on plug.
  5. Confirmed #2 by unplugging coil with no change to idle or running. No fault codes. New coils, new plugs. Worth knowing that for about 20 seconds the car dropped another cylinder but returned to firing on 3 again. This has not happened again. No smoke at all and engine still sounds mechanically mint, no knock not even a tick. just the rough 3 cylinder sound and the smell of petrol. Spark plug comes out black and returns to silver with the rub of a cloth which makes me think it must be seeing some sort of ignition like a very weak spark from hidden electrical problem or extinguished by huge amount of over fuelling. With no codes its pretty hard to figure out. At this point Im thinking a damaged tooth on the sprocket. Any ideas? v7sti bug eye update: Under boost car runs alot better with the coil plugged in than without, but does not feel smooth, micro jerks felt. I'm thinking that the injector might be fire hydranting into the cylinder and making it null on idle but giving a weak combustion under boost. No smoke, sometimes 1 or 2 bangs when taking off in first gear from cold start. I'm gona try replace the injector unless anyone thinks otherwise?
  6. My v2 had a silver alloy slanted inter cooler factory. That one looks like a black one they have sprayed.

Could this maf connection be causing an issue with low tps voltage? It looks to eventually end up in the same loom.

    V7 sti TPS

New genuine subaru tps installed and have confirmed its the correct part. With a multi meter im seeing .52v closed throttle and only 3.9v at wot. What could be causing the low 3.9v? Also noticed my radiator is giving off a bit of voltage too. The photo shows 3.47 at wot because I moved it on accident when taking the photo. Usually gets 3.9

yes 22633aa210 interchangeable with 240. strange that it only wants to turn anti clockwise when facing and looking at the white key hole holding the tps in my hand. The ones on our cars should be turning clockwise from the default position.

    V7 sti TPS

Purchased brand new oem sensor but the keyhole in it turns the opposite direction as my one. Its as if it was designed to be installed on the opposite side of the throttle body which brings me to the question: Do the USDM cars have there tps installed on the otherside of the throttle body to ours? in which case I would have to order RHD TPS specific. Really hoping someone can chime in on this as I know for a fact my TPS is faulty because it only reads 3.8v at wot and I cant get my car tuned until I get this sorted. Alternatively if anyone has a TPS that will suite a v7 sti they would sell that would help me out alot too. I dont want to start purchasing new tps before knowing for sure it will fit and function because there costly.
  13. Can anyone confirm that fk0140 are the correct ignition coil for version 7 sti. Net says they are for 02+ and one site said 98-04. So much variation in information I just dont know. But cant find anthing related to my00-01 wrx sti. If they have incorrect dwell timing is this somthing my tuner can work around?
