  2. I have 1 to wire in, but its using the 4 plug ecu in the v3 which has 3, not my car but trying to find out the information so I can help the man out
  3. not for me, the guy is happy to cut the loom, have you made the 4 plug to 3 adapter before.

Did a deal with a mate who had a possumn link in his V4 STI, only to find he had his loom chopped and changed to suit a 4 plug PL, anyone got the diagrams in plane english for me to do this, tried looking for v1-2 pin out with no luck, then it is the issue of getting wasted spark running instead of coils.   5. ej20 and 25 are pretty much the same block, just sleeved differently for bore size, the 92mm sleeve has a greater cooling area around the bore so distortion between block and head under load is next to none, then you go to the 100mm bore, you are losing 4mm of cooling around the circumference of the sleeve compared to the 92mm sleeve so the temperatures will be a lot different as the water flow has been effected, so you will have higher temp at stage of contact with head and block and get more movement, hence why the 2.5 is prone to HG failure, the movement can be corrected by dowelling around the sleeve to minimise movement or too fully close deck the 2.5 and you will have the effect of zero movement in the sleeve. Not sure if this was what you where wanting, the failure of 2.5 under a high work load is not tuning it is poor design of the cooling system

  8. well to be honest it a bitch of a job and I would not like it, after my recent run in with the Henderson Police I have the ut most respect for them and the job they try to do for us, speeding ticket aint a murder charge guys save the racing till night wars or track days, how many boy racers have taken lives on our roads and its those 5% that make it harder for the rest to have the respect of the police, yep i said there respect you dont respect them they will f**k you up, if they respect you and your vehical is all legal they will leave you alone, how about all the good they do, I dont care about media hype and 2nd hand bs when it comes to called off police chases, if they say its been called off its recorded as is, all there conversations over the 2 way are logged and stored

  12. ok just done engine transplant, young guy supplied the motor, went for couple of up grades, gtb coilpac conversion v5 yellow top injectors possumn link ecu split fuel rails walbro 500hp fuel pump with direct 12v feed from battery in the boot. Car sounds great at idle he took it home and it is surging , fuel reg is set at 46lb at idle, not sure what his boost controlla is should I buy pass boost controlla and wind up reg to add more fuel? This is a v2 WRX motor is from a 97 JDM V3 STI, using v2 intake manifold and plated up the ICV. Im thinking add fuel that dont fix it remove after market boost controlla and just go off waste gate spring.
  13. ok what fpr pressure set at, what the duty cycle of injectors, and your also considering a larger turbo correct, launch control with a vf22 now they a laggy turbo better top end than bottom end and you want slow top end for economy,Clint you cant have power at both ends you set up for one or the other, the other thing IC piping diameter from turbo to cooler and cooler to intake and intake size all these diamensions will affect lag, check for exhaust leaks pre turbo as that will also slow spool up time, pi gtb heads any head work cam work, all need to know information to compare apple to apples and lets face it GCP is good not great but if thats all you have up there to use you use, but I would drive to Detech Tauranga for a quik run up on there dyno and see if it cant be tweaked

  17. No cel, Im trying to get my son to work shit out himself, lol but asking people like yourselves to improve his communication skills, Im thinking sparkplug issue maybe faulty coil pac, but open to suggestions also

This is Brians son Aidan, but he dont know whats wrong either runs fine in first gear but when u change into another gear it gets up to 3-4krpm fine then starts to cough splutter and looses all power and sounds like its back firing, I\'ve changed the ECU thinking it was that but still getting same problem, i\'ve put standard bov back in but no difference and tested the boost solenoid but thats fine

  20. afm was replaced, cel code was 23, did rest, cel went away, took for drive hit 4k cel light back same code, told him to get another afm as the 1 he put in must of been frked too, dccd is also flashing a green light on bottom of its thing would this mean any thing
  21. thats why you check codes for ecl, so you dont do shit you dont have to, and to be honest I doubt that is the fault, cheers for you input the code will tell all and will post it tomorrow
