As I was awaiting to make a turn from my house off lorne st in hamilton this morning, a gap appeared as a fellow commuter waved me through to make a right turn. I gestured that I would be making the turn, and a friendly waved followed suggesting all clear to make the turn.. behold! I was struck by a nissan bluebird who was flying up the medium strip
unfortunatly I was too slow in getting the car into reverse, where I was hit like a stunned mullet. He escaped with a minor damage, where as I took the full extent.
I reversed back into my garage off the road, took a look at my baby.
and
Can I claim insurance? unfortunatly not, as I had a passenger at the time which was recorded in a statement, (insurance voided)
Will the other vehicle owner pay-up? I don't think so, unless i'm wanting weekly payments of $1.20 over 10 years.
Engine runs as it did yesterday, and it seems the radiator was pushed back up into the timing belt, and my bumper bar has taken the blow. (atleast it did its job) and those of you who remove them for weight savings might wanting to think again eh?
