  1. Been idiling for the past 20 mins and it's just sitting at normal operating temp... no change,
  2. mmm, But I drove back on friday afternoon, pretty darn hot.. n traffic wasn't moving much... Guess I can take it for a light drive?, chuck it in diag mode if the temps start rising a bit much n the fans arn't still on?...... or just don't go there? But shouldn't the A/C fan turn on regardless?
  3. Yeah the fans were working before the new radiator and they still spin if the diag cables are connected up, but when I dosconnect the diag cables they won't spin on there own. Yes it was sittin on half way, I left from the garage and they couldn't figure it out either, so I drove him, was only 1km down the road. The temp was sitting on halfway and the radiator was very hot.. The fans had never turned on. even after letting the car idle for 5 mins, still nothing. #My AC condensor was damaged during the crash aswell, & I don't think there is gas in it. but that shouldn't effect the rad fans will it?
  4. Chur, Iv'e finally got my car back up in running with a new radiator...that's all good. But, my radiator fans arn't tuning on?, I let the car run for 5 mins and it got up to temp, but the fans never turned on... So I shut the car off before it overheated... I checked the fuses in the engine bay and they seem fine, Doesn't look like any damage or blown fuse there. Turning the A/C on cold or hot full, 1,2,3,4 doesn't signal the fans to turn on either like it should... How ever If I plug in the diagnostic cable (the two green ones on the drivers side) the fans will cycle on. Please help, needa get to work on monday lol.

  6. Is it illegal to drive with no front bumper?,.. As some of you may know I had some clown hit my v7 front on,.. I'm a bit poor at the moment and won't be able to get everything repaired,... So is it illegal or not?.. will I get away with it?

That would be choice, I'm in search for the bumper bar, and radiator structure.. i'm not sure of the correct labels for these parts.. but all the front end structural stuff (replace the damaged stuff in pic2) aside from the actual oem bumper... i'm going to throw on a aftermarket kit for the front... I'd be stoked if your mate can pass the items along for a reasonable price?... or a roast n a crate.. lol

  10. Yeh, I get paid monthly on the 15th tooo, So i gotta wait for my next pay to do anything, lol..coz i did my montly budget and spent all my remaining money on xmas gifts 4 family.
  11. the stock v7 wrx has the TGV's,....easier to just remove them & have the code deleted for $100* (may vary) by your local tuner **I wish that was the route I took with my sti swap, rather than spend a few hundy on adding them onto the sti manifold, ahh but we live n learn. (or spend n regret)
  12. This is what you get for allowing your'self to trust other commuters,.. As I was awaiting to make a turn from my house off lorne st in hamilton this morning, a gap appeared as a fellow commuter waved me through to make a right turn. I gestured that I would be making the turn, and a friendly waved followed suggesting all clear to make the turn.. behold! I was struck by a nissan bluebird who was flying up the medium strip unfortunatly I was too slow in getting the car into reverse, where I was hit like a stunned mullet. He escaped with a minor damage, where as I took the full extent. I reversed back into my garage off the road, took a look at my baby. and Can I claim insurance? unfortunatly not, as I had a passenger at the time which was recorded in a statement, (insurance voided) Will the other vehicle owner pay-up? I don't think so, unless i'm wanting weekly payments of $1.20 over 10 years. Engine runs as it did yesterday, and it seems the radiator was pushed back up into the timing belt, and my bumper bar has taken the blow. (atleast it did its job) and those of you who remove them for weight savings might wanting to think again eh? please make a donation http:/www.donations4mywreckedwrxloljoke.com....jkz.   15. Gayness.. hope it hasn't lead to any engine failure. The engine is still as it is since I brought the car fresh into NZ.
  16. Yesterday while driving home from work my car lost all power! Boost is set at 14psi 155kW (safe tune)(had a cel need to delete for tgv's) after I have placed a complete ej207(vf30) into my wrx. I have a apexi power ram, gfb mbc, walbro fp. (tuned @ 155kW) for now. ------ During the day I noticed a little hesitation in the lower rpm's, (maybe the limp mode as of the TGV CEL) But on my way home I lost all power in my engine, my lights didn't go off gauges etc still had power, but not in the engine. I had just enough power to move off the road into a carpark. I then checked all the hoses no leaks etc, Fuel pump primes with ignition. But then once the key is turned the engine will shake and rumble sounding like it's going to die, so I turn off the engine straight away. Now this morning (after being towed home) I checked the engine after leaving the battery disconnected for a few hours. Tried to start it.. FP primed, engine started seemed sweet (normal) for 4 seconds and then I heard a squeak or short squeal from the front followed by the engine hesitation and so I quickly turned the car off again. Any ideas? a belt or somthing? Battery is fine reads 12.3v, all fresh oil & clean coolant.

  18. I brought the complete engine, + the loom and sti ecu.. ??? Sweet so I shouldn't have much trouble then eh?.. Now I would require to upgrade my fuel pump for enough flow to the injectors to support the vf30?

  20. So I would require a aftermarket ECU? + v7 sti loom? would the v7 loom be compatible with the 207? or will I require the STI loom?
  21. Using my standard V7 Ecu?...not compatability issues with swapping to the sti motor for the a/t?
  22. K, Now i'm dumping the 2.5 hybrid idea for now.. another time, I have a question for all you geniusiz out there, Can I swap in the EJ207 into the 4EAT WRX?.. Can I use the STI V7 ECU? or the original ECU for the 4EAT? or do I need a aftermarket ECU like the LINK etc? .. Or if I swap in a 5 speed MT, can I use the STI V7 ecu?
  23. My understanding was, I could take the 2.5 engine from a Forester XT and drop it into my V7 & run it off a link ecu.. and that would be that. ...no?
  24. Bump: Has anyone done a 2.0 to 2.5 swap? or offer any advice?
