LR door lock? Is it possible to upgrade the brakes, ie: say from something like an sti with brembos?

The twin turbo setup is pretty good, love the low down grunt, don't love the dreaded vod though. Nothing quite like the feeling of that second turbo kicking in too. We'll definitely upgrade end of the year. You're a subi mechanic, any issues to look out for on those '04 spec b's?

Yea? Truth be told I haven't seen one in the flesh. I just LOVE our Blitzen, odd as it may sound I reckon it's got a jet fighter look/feel to it. The later models, '02 on I think lost that and started looking bloated.

Hey all, looking at trading our 2001 Blitzen at the end of the year and as such looking at a replacement. Thinking of an '04 Legacy B Spec sedan but hate the turbo lag I've noticed on test drives. Been speaking with a guy via email that reckons he's had his ecu remapped and this has all but eliminated the turbo lag, as well boosted HP by about 30HP. Anyone know of this procedure and the expected results ???

450kw atw is an insane number! I'd love that much power but i'm not quite ready to see if there's an afterlife :-\

The car in chch as far as I can remember is an '03 v8 sti, ideally i'd like to get an '08 sti spec r, not a huge fan of the hatch shape but like the interior etc, there's a guy here in dunners with one and he's made it look mean! Due to finances though we'll be restricted to a v8/9 sti, if we found a v10 at the right place then who knows?

The more I hear and read the more I think I may head the way of the 2.5ltr. Gonna take the version 8 for a drive anyway for a laugh ;D Thanks guys

semi forged ??? not keen on modifying any car we get really. maybe an exhaust and an engine reflash at some point to liberate a few horses but not planning on turning it into a 400whp street racer. have read a few reviews and seems to be the common thought that the 2ltr is more rev happy ;D

it's true, with a car that's capable of going quick you automatically fall into that boy racer category. there are boy racers for sure but most are just people who enjoy their cars and look after them. the idiots that go on drag chains and meet in the wops, attack cops and scream out F#&K the police when the tv cres arrive unfortunately stuff it for all other people with fast cars. as for the recidivist drivers, simple solution follows: take them to the nearest stadium and chain them to a post, make sure the locals who have lost people to drunk drivers are informed and let them loose. problem sorted way better than a slap on the wrist or being suspended, which means nothing as they only carry on driving.

there's a guy down the road from me that insists on taking on a blind corner sideways in an old turbo 180sx every time the road gets a litle wet/greasy. i see him "drifting" up the hill but he's all over the road and often over the centre line. i hope to see him put it over the edge of the bluff one day so i can laugh my tits off, i might call the cops or ambo, once the fire goes out ;D scary thing is i've called the cops and so have a bunch of others but they never catch him in the act and hence can't do anything, retarded!

or the guy in chch recently or killed that kid when he lost it taking off from an intersection. ran the kid over and killed him before hitting a wall. there are countless stories about guys losing control and injuring innocent people and their friends. like someone said, leave it to the pros like mad mike and the other d1nz drivers. if people feel compelled to attempt drifting i'm sure there are track days they could try at? i can carve a pork roast but that doesn't make me a surgeon, just as you can get the arse end of a car to step out doesn't make you a drift king.
