Hey all, Does anyone know if the plugs are the same (shape, size, pins etc) for the 4 plug early ECU as they for the 3 plug later ECU? I have done a bit of google searching and found a few 3 plug pinouts that show the plug sockets, and they LOOK the same as the 4 plug just minus the smaller 12 pin plug. Can anyone verify this for me as I dont have a 3 plug to see for myself. If anyone is interested I'm asking all this because I'm getting stuck into doing an ECU swap for my single converted RS (finally), was originally going to just use an early WRX/Leggy ECU, but now thinking I should investigate using a 3 plug (for later expansion of mods, and when my STi motor is rebuilt and in the car) Cheers.

Not sure if this will help, but I have one on my BD5 RS (2nd Gen Leggy, single conv) and it doesn't fit that well. Firstly its way thicker, and even with making new support brackets its really tight, mine fouls a bit on the heater pipes - so I tweaked the brackets up a bit and then it fouls on the strut tower brace! Got it sorta 'credit card' width between the two at tho moment and it seems ok, placed some strips of rubber to insulated it from the heater pipes etc, was bangin a bit when the engine flexed.
