  1. I had a similar cut out thing happening in my GTB when the headgaskets had blown. If you got it on boost with more that half throttle it would cut out violently. No problems with the AFM, engine probably didnt like trying to compress water.
  2. 1996 GTB, 87,000kms. Had primary turbo replaced, got it back with no water in it, blown head gaskets and a slight knock when cold which turned out to be... Wasn't a happy chappy, and the c**ts got away with it too. So yea I joined the "i ran a BEB, then decided to forge it when i rebuilt it" club.
  3. These are out of an EJ20R, 87000kms. Engine builder said they were most definately cast. Also attached a pic of my big end bearings for interests sake. Its hard to believe I was still driving around thinking I had piston slap with the state of those bearings. It never stopped, in fact I didn't notice any loss in performance just a slight knock when cold, only discovered it when I had the head gaskets done due to an overheat.
